lust for life 2.0 done correctly would be a complete SERVE if done correctly, lust for life has a LOT of potential & it’s outtakes (lust for life demo, if i die young, valley of the dolls, serene queen) are some of her best songs in recent times, if she taps into that witchy, folky, introspective, translation from honeymoon, as it was meant to be, this album could be one of her best! it makes sense too since she followed rick nowels again, & visiting all of these different locations (new york, portofino, london) reflects the eclectic nature of lust for life’s soundscape (acoustic, pop, trap, alternative, electronic)

The Paradise and the esoteric origin of mankind
Dark Angel replied to litewave's topic in Lana Thoughts
this thread is honestly so difficult to follow along with but i’m all about spirituality & very extra song analysis, especially pertaining to lana because there’s something so complex & bewitching about her art this threads’ analysis is very detailed & complex, it’s not to say it can’t technically be true, i suppose if these meanings can be derived from these songs, obviously, it’s a valid interpretation, many artists have expressed this idea, that once a piece of art is out there, specifically music, it’s not their song anymore, anybody who listens to it is free to interpret it & enjoy it however they choose, so while a song like “born to die” could just be about a relationship that’s doomed to fail, it could have so many different & complex interpretations (i feel this way about born to die) i do believe that whether or not she’s aware of it, lana is more “in-tune” than the average human (although i sorta believe anybody could further tap into the otherworldly realms if it’s their desire) her writing is complex, poetic, & mysterious, it would be a lot harder to find these types of meanings in a justin bieber song, but lana’s music naturally feels meaningful & complex in a way where it means way more than just what you hear on the surface, if you analyze the lyrics, as well as make connections with other songs, you’re likely to notice something interesting -
elizabeth album & rob album double release, later this year

our eye for detail is unmatched

anyway, aka remains one of her best & is a cult-classic staple

i mean, you’re shitting on people who like something you don’t by saying they’re edgy & pretending, so i don’t get why you’re surprised we responded & didn’t like what you said, we’re allowed to have your opinions on your opinion lol don’t even know why you’re so bothered about people liking old demos & unreleased tracks in the first place
-
why are you so… brash about what other people enjoy? a lot of her unreleased songs are decent quality for the fact they were recorded pre-fame & never got “finished” for an album, & some people can still enjoy songs which are “low quality” or “rough” because it’s ultimately about the songwriting, structure, & general vibe, it’s fine if you personally don’t care for those old demos, but trust me, we aren’t saying we like them just to be “edgy”
-
maybe rob’s just playing the piano for fun & it’s not for any album/project in particular he has a hobby he enjoys, good for him!

this is honestly such a fantastic lyric & i really didn’t realize how doomsy & dark it was until i just simply read it, even in a song which seems to be a cheeky, possibly satirical take on rich & opulent lifestyles, she sneaks in darkness & complexity which can be so relatable to the listeners & the modern world as a whole, it can be viewed literally, or figuratively, to fit a certain situation, you can really sense what she means when she details her lover keeping her safe in a beautiful, faraway, opulent place, while the entire world around her is slowly rotting & crumbling due to their own desires, cheap thrills, & materialistic wants, AHH she’s incredible
