i wouldn't be surprised if it was "gramma" so iconic whenever he references it

that's just your subjective opinion, but it's not very friendly, we shouldn't encourage tearing down somebody's artistry just because you don't like it quite like her previous work, the album is beautiful, it's a lot less "safe" and steady like nfr, but that's why it's great

she's finally getting the praise she's deserved since the moment she finished recording sirens, artist of the century, 100/100, indeed

the lizzy grant / pre-fame era has some of the most unique and intricately crafted music i've ever heard, and that's beyond just what she's recorded on her laptop, even the "surf noir" material, like mermaid motel, the man i love, pin up galore, etc. is like nothing i've heard before and she was excellent at it, i love that you almost consider it "outsider art" because i get that feeling as well, it's definitely strange, intriguing, elusive, yet very special, nobody else could really do it like her <3
