i was quite young when "burn" came out so i guess i didn't pay much attention to how much they played it or anything like that interestingly enough, the only time i've heard ever dua lipa on the radio is whenever they played "new rules". maybe she's more of a social media girl. i could see halsey, ed sheeran, and shawn mendes using payola, at one point they were playing "there's nothing holding me back" every hour it seemed, not that enjoyable.

yeah, i'm pretty certain that you can buy youtube views, wouldn't be surprised if some mainstream arist has a video with inflated views, even just a little bit.

isn't payola mostly radio? that's a little weird to me because i thought that streaming services kinda took over the radio. on the subject of sketchy industry practices, i wonder if youtube is a part of this? why does "burn" by ellie goulding have over 1b views? i'm not hating on her at all, but i never would of expected that particular song to reach 1b.

this thread is an entire mess, how are ya'll going to discredit someone's knowledge on covid-19 because they are a nurse rather than a doctor? nurses are very important.

we can't really do anything about lana wearing a mask with holes, which is risking her health and other people's health, but we have every right to critize her for it, sorry, but that's just the way it is.

this is so bothersome, i wish she could just make the right choices, i have no idea why she would choose to do this because i'm sure she's aware that it's stupid i can't let myself get too upset over it, i can still love her and her music, her choices are out of my control.

this honestly really bothers me, they get the opportunity to meet lana del rey and have her signature in their book, but they just do it all for profit. i just think it's unfair, there's so many other fans who aren't able to attend these events, and they certainly won't be able to afford a book being sold for over 1k. but of course, it is their right to sell the book and that's their decision.

ughhh lana, why, i'm so tired of seeing her make questionable choices and getting herself dragged, this could of easily been avoided if she would of just worn a proper mask. i guess i can't let this bother me too much, i'm not going to defend her, but i know that i still love her and her music, and i can't change her actions.

sad girl is such a great song, and something i love about it is how she takes the gloomy, stormy, submissive character, and gives it so much power and intensity. she's empowered by admitting that she is the sad girl, she finds her strength in her sadness, which is something that's definitely not expected, but that's what i like about it. i agree! i absolutely love mermaid motel, and as well as the nkf version, it's such a great song, and also strangely poetic.
