Yeah listening to it more I think you are right it must be the full clip plays at that part "are you ready for it... damn" just at that part you only hear "dy for it... damn"

What do people think is said at 4:03 in the song? To me it sounds like a little kids voice says "pray for the damned"

I never listen to these songs but just checked to see if they are still there in the UK and they are, I probably havent listened to them in years and just noticed that in some parts of Big Eyes she sings in a similar melody to the Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel.

Could be, in Best American Record she sings "My baby used to dance underneath my architecture" and "tell me how does that taste coming out", makes you think of oral sex tbh especially if the music video was meant to be for that song when she stands over the guy. In his song Thunder he sings "You wake up so gentle, I wake up mental, I want to kiss your ass babe, She blows my fucking mind away" and "Time’s getting older, whilst I lay under, I love the way the night knows,I love the way your mind moves" which gives off a similar feel of oral sex lol Could be a kind of reaction to that song.

Do you think she will announce when the 2nd song is coming out or will she try out a "surprise drop" by it just being uploaded everywhere with no notice. It seems now when things just get released unplanned then they become bigger than they would have been because it creates a buzz and people talk about how it was a shock. Then when you hear it you want to find out more about it, so it kind of works better to get publicity and then leave people wondering and checking back to see if the person revealed anything about it.

I just listened to it and I would be 99% sure he said Love. Also he said I Started and not just Started.

Do you think she loves fame though? she always comes across pretty shy to me and very awkward at Red Carpets or when being interviewed and things like that and even doesn't seem to like being on video or even making music videos and does hardly any things for publicity like radio and TV. To me it seems like she would like a more normal life of just going about like to the beach, going to the studio to work, going for coffee and food with friends, going shopping and blending in rather than loving fame and attention and wanting to be seen as a big star.

Would make sense if it was about Alcohol as the song does sound like it is about real violvence/domestic violence but if Lana had suffered from that she would probably have made other songs about it but there are no others(I dont think?).

She mentions journaling sometimes, it would be good if she has written down a lot of stuff and can at some point release a really in depth autobiography of her life even if its in 30 years. She's really interesting as her music comes across very personal but yet everything is really just left to guessing as she rarely reveals the people and you can never really tell if a new song is about something more recent or reflecting on 5 or 10 years ago. One of her songs that mentions "i'll love you forever" is Ultraviolence, im not sure who or what people think that song is about though - i've even seen people saying its about alcohol.

Good thread, is there any of his lyrics you didn't get as im also from Glasgow and probably understand all the things he says. I thought a lot of it made sense and is probably right, was he her longest relationship as well? almost 3 years I think from 2011-2014 so a lot of her songs are probably about him.

I hope it is more cohesive, I like how Born To Die, Paradise, Ultraviolence and Honeymoon all have kind of 1 vibe to them and you can listen to the album and create like a mood. Lust For Life you can't really as theres quite a mix of types of songs and they don't go together that well. I prefer albums in like 1 tone, so if you feel a certain way you can just play it all. Same, I bought this single though my first ever one. I feel dumb as well that I only ever buy digital albums and when I went on iTunes to buy this I noticed I only have LFL on there, the other ones I think I bought digitally on her website or somewhere else so I dont really own anything although I have them on my computer. I never even listen to them either I only use Spotify but I just like her to get the sale since she is my favourite and only person whos music I buy.
