Imagine wanting to toss aside a producer who has given Lana so many career highlights (and the most progressive/experimental music too) in such a short amount of time ( A&W, Venice Bitch, Mariners, White Dress, Chemtrails, The Greatest (among many others) for some lames who make boring boomer music. Nostalgia does crazy things to people's brains.

Jon Batiste makes boring Grammy bait music for boomers who post the “real music is played with real instruments“ takes on Facebook. She has zero chemistry with Mike Dean. Zach Dawes and Drew Erickson are solid but not good enough to to be an executive producer. I won't even entertain Rick Nowels nonsense. It's either Jack or a completely new producer.

[SINGLE] Say Yes To Heaven + Sped Up Remix + 7" Picture Disc - OUT NOW

Ben and Ed clearly have no respect for Lana as an artist. All these gimmicks (sped-up versions, remixes, 4 versions of the same vinyl...) are the side effects of Dua Lipa leaving their managment. Lana should follow her steps. -

[SINGLE] Say Yes To Heaven + Sped Up Remix + 7" Picture Disc - OUT NOW
Jared replied to hotshot2am's topic in New Releases
It's very obvious. They want simple, sped-up versions of Lana's songs. That doesn't mean Lana should water down/dumb down her art for shallow fucks who use her songs like Young & Beautiful as background noise while they fat-shame her and other celebs. -

Also, not every artist has the same goals. They view ‘success’ through different lenses. I very much doubt Lana will cry herself to sleep if this or some other song of hers doesn't hit big on radio or Billboard charts. It's 2023, y'all should have gotten the memo by now. -

The fact that some here are seriously arguing that sped-up version of some old Lana discard going viral on TikTok is an indictment on the quality of her new music and that she needs this to solidify her ''A-list/icon status''. With such 'fans', who needs haters? As for old vs new music: -
Lana & Joan Baez cover The New York Times Magazine April 2023 Issue [Print]
Jared replied to Elle's topic in New Interviews
It's a generational thing. Joan and artists from her era take pride in in-person interactions. It's not like artists nowaday who do collaborations without ever meeting in person. Don't take it too literally, she just wanted to get to know Lana first.- 145 replies

''Lana Del Rey has a new album, and our rock critic Ken Tucker says she's making her most ambitious, riskiest music to date.'' ''This album has 16 songs, and a few of them may seem too long, too digressive, but who cares? Every one of them contains at least a moment of pure revelation, and many of them yield up a whole series of observations or musical twists that carry you along, transfixed. There's no one else assembling music like this, leaving you constantly unsure of where the next verse might go or even what the next verse might sound like.'' Lana Del Rey's ambitious new album is her riskiest to date : NPR
