I wish it'd had been an EP tbh, I think some songs like 13 Beaches, Cherry and Heroin are all gains for her discography. A lot of it just felt lyrically a little forced and clunky and as if she was trying to recreate Born To Die, but that's a sound she'd already evolved from. I guess we're at no loss having it as part of her discography but it was definitely a misstep after Honeymoon. -

Imagine if we had've just went from Honeymoon to this forthcoming masterpiece, like damn... Ultraviolence to Honeymoon to Norman Fucking Rockwell. -

I miss that New York accent, her BTD era voice was iconic. -
I know she's acknowledged flopping on the charts but like, what did they expect? The wait between 1999 and the next single was too long, to then release Blame It On Your Love, a song that had leaked and already been released (in an arguably better form) 18 months prior. And I love Gone, I think it's the best of the 3 singles so far... But to me it never felt like a radio hit, it feels more alternative, so surely they weren't expecting a smash with that.

Edited my dream setlist to include the new song, thinking maybe a little political / hopeful medley -

If she's doing an arena tour she really should though, plus I never stated she'd sing all of them in full haha -

Her career has always been super fascinating to me... Like she said her debut album was ignored and had very little success, all people cared about was I Love It. If it hadn't of been for Boom Clap, I think the same would've happened with Sucker, the hype and questions would be about Fancy whilst the album got ignored. It's even strange to me how in some countries Sucker was marketed as her debut album, like she's 8 years into her career as a major label pop star yet she still feels like an up and coming or alternate artist. That must be frustrating for her! Especially when she's tried and experienced mainstream success. Then you have the whole tour scenarios, always the opener and never the headliner. Opening for Taylor, Katy and also Halsey, a fellow alternate popstar who hasn't been in the industry as long as Charli. Like that must have been annoying or even confusing? Then we have the whole XCX World drama, trying to create her most pop album, then it becoming PC music influenced. Then her label interfering, having to release a song that she didn't write in hope of success just to get her album released. The leaks. I'd love her to do a For The Record kinda thing, just sit and talk about her experience for a couple of hours.

I actually quite enjoy Taylor Swift (Speak Now - 1989 era's) ahaha, I just enjoy how mad her fans are getting.
-
Charli XCX: "as an artist it felt like I was getting on stage and waving at 5 year olds" Swifties: "lol boom clap girl shading Taylor", "least Taylor has fans", "Taylor has been successful since 2006, I'm 33" etc. Taylor Swift: "Hey, kids! Spelling is fun!" Swifties: "OMG, she's a lyrical genius", "Lover better get a Grammy", "she's so relatable" etc.

So, what's the chances of Bartender having a music video? Lana stated that she had a concept for the music video (I know she's said this many times ahah) back in 2018, I think she might have shot something with Chuck, the trailer says music videos by Chuck and Rich... Plus Chuck teased a larger project. We know he's done Fuck It, I Love You / The Greatest and Chuck did Happiness back in 2018. -

Her UK store and HMV have most of the variants, between them 2 sites you can get all the variants. It was an upload error, now all websites have the 14 track, tracklist. -

I think we're only gonna get visuals for Fuck It I Love You / The Greatest, Happiness Is A Butterfly and maybe the title track? I think the footage in the trailer is the stuff she did with Rich Lee but didn't wanna tease the new unheard songs? -

I really hope that for the next era she just does a surprise announcement. Imagine no teasing, no singles, no interviews etc. Then she drops another trailer like that one night, album cover and tracklist next post then pre-order following day (with tour announcement etc). That would be iconic. -

I can't believe that after all the fuckery, she came through with an album cover that isn't a selfie, pre-order, tracklist and cover reveal, an album trailer! A tour announcement and now confirmation of more music videos. -
