Oh I see... Yeah but it wasn't meant to be part of the record. It's kinda like Charli releasing XCX3 back in 2017 and the album being a huge success with some hit singles - then releasing a deluxe / fan / complete edition and adding Taxi or whatever outtakes (leaks) for fans as new material

For real though, the album is done... Why are we waiting again? That poetry book is never coming, at least not on a worldwide availabity scale - so why delay the album. That was kinda different, every interview she did confirmed the release as May 26th which the info would've been given to the publisher by her team. It was Lana's personal choice to delay the record to add collaborations and more songs.

I just think its selfish of fans to want old material when she's constantly making and releasing new music for us. And again I don't think she wanted Taxi to be released, HBHG was originally on the album ("the big collab" with will.i.am) but at the Exchange show it had been scrapped - surely the label wouldn't make that choice? And yeah maybe GNO flopped because there was no promo and no music video etc. But I do think the leak had a lot to do with its success - we had it a year prior! And the promo for 1999 has been much better, she's doing live performances and interviews again. The Rep tour. A music video! Damn, 2 music videos if you count the vertical video on spotify. its being added to lots of playlists and theres banners and ads for the song on spotify now. I don't think Taxi would get any of that cos it has no commercial appeal. And Dua Lipa is a different case, her album was delayed numerous times until she got a big hit and then the promo started. So I don't get your point referencing her?

It doesn't deserve a release though... Cos Charli obviously never wanted to release it, yes it might have been part of the album draft at one point, but at the Exchange show she confirmed that it wasn't gonna be on the album... She should be able to choose what she wants us to hear and what she doesn't. Why can't people just be grateful for having a studio (demo) / listenable version? I just think it's unfair that she might feel forced to put this song out. We should be asking her for new music and showing interest in her next record not begging for the last one. XCX3 was illegally stolen from her, yeah I listen to it as most do - but we shouldn't have that album in that way. She's said so many times how heart breaking it was for her to have it leak, but fans continue to beg her to release the songs from it. Let her move on and get over it. And you already know that once she releases Taxi it'll be spam for Come To My Party, Party 4 U or whatever other track. Ps. GNO flopped because it leaked a year prior and no changes were made to the final released version (but Charli loves that song and wanted it to be released). And yeah No Angel was cos of Atlantic, but its a buzz single at this point and I for one want new material and hopefully a project - not some leftover Sophie track.

For real though, why release Taxi? She better mean as an album track (still a waste) rather than a single. We have a leak, and it'll just flop like GNO and No Angel... Lol, I still remember seeing the Exchange performance and thinking damn I'm gonna own this album soon Honestly her most iconic show / era TKO, Roll With Me / Burn Rubber, No Angel, Taxi, Daddy Knows etc. That's when I had faith in XCX3 and was truly excited to hear the album. Number 1 Angel again fuelled this excitement and here we are still waiting...

100% Like the Love music video as an introduction, then the trailer really set the tone - especially with her cryptic posts at the time about witchcraft and hexing Donald Trump. Lust For Life music video followed in the same vein, but as mentioned was more dreamy (but was in theme of the trailer with the Hollywood sign). She then should've shot the album art differently (that Neil shot with the red background and she's in all black) and released a sci-fi futuristic video for Heroin. Finally using the BAR music video for Get Free as the final single (still futuristic but less sci fi and in your face and more in the direction of the next record).

Why do I feel like Charli would take this opportunity to perform Unlock It or something instead of her current single... Also do we know why Charli performed Bounce live that on time on Jimmy Kimmel? Like why Bounce? Surely her current single After The Afterparty or then upcoming single Girls Night Out would've been better.

To answer my own question... Is it possible that Charli could be dropped from Atlantic? I mean... It would kind of justify the potential release of an album and tour off the back of a poor single. I mean I wouldn't be mad - I'd love her to sign to an independent label and just drop music when she feels like it.

Literally doesn't make any sense at all for Atlantic to launch her next album off the back of 1999... Like it peaked at #51 in the UK, After The Afterparty and Boys both made top 40. At this stage I'd welcome another EP with 5 to 6 tracks including 1999 and then launch a lead single that is more on trend and appealing next year with the album and tour to follow. Otherwise, release the album early next year and include After The Afterparty and Boys for streams - release one more single and move on.
