Ugh I just want XCX 3... At least confirm an album Charli! This is your biggest hit since 2015! I know y'all hate this but right now my dream XCX3 tracklist is... 01. Come To My Party 02. 1999 (ft. Troye Sivan) 03. 04. White Mercedes 05. No Angel 06. Boys 07. Blame It On Your Love (ft. Stefflon Don) 08. 09. Dance All Night (ft. MØ) 10. 11. 12. Girls Night Out 13. After The Afterparty (ft. Lil Yachty)

I 100% agree and I think that's why I love Sucker so much! Her voice really suits that bratty punk pop, even on Need Ur Luv, like it just works. But I also really love her rap / spoken vocal thing she does on Number 1 Angel and some of Pop 2... But yeah, she can sing but her talent definitely lies in songwriting and curation of music.

They're like the same. So Billboard Top 100 and UK Singles or Top 40 are the same. I think ahaha

Norman Fucking Rockwell - Pre-Release Thread

Urgh I dreamt that I had NFR last night and it was fucking amazing. I could hear the songs and it was so surreal but like hardcore - in my dream it was honestly her best work so hopefully that's a premanition. -
I'm not getting my hopes up for #1 but I really hope she manages top 10! I feel so proud.

Did LFL not get a clean version released? -
Yup. I have VV and N1A/P2 on vinyl (and also the cassette) but the VV vinyl was limited... Like you can't get that anymore. I wish she'd just release the 3 on CD - I mean if 1999 can get a CD release

Questions... Will the title be on the album cover since it says "Fucking"? Will the clean version of the album just be marketed as "Norman Rockwell"? Will there be a clean / edited version of "Venice Bitch" and will it just be called "Venice" or "Venice Beach" or "Venice Chick"? -
I feel so proud that she managed to get another hit - please let this be the start of something!

Can LANA DEL REY save the album & recording industry itself?
bored replied to graham4anything's topic in Lana Thoughts
I think the album is in jeapordy for only for artists of a certain genre... Hip Hop / Rap has no worry - I mean Drake and Eminem are examples of artists who have dropped multiple albums in one year. Rihanna and Beyonce are also good examples of females who are "bringing back" the album - see ANTi, Beyonce and Lemonade. There's still a desire for a full length project from many fans. In terms of pop or alternate pop - artists like Lana and Lorde are prime examples of why an album is still necessary. They don't rely on singles or chart success, instead they depend on album sales and their fanbases support this and want bodies of work. -
Urgh need ITZ and Blackout asap.
-
I agree, but my point was what I wanted personally - and that is her music on CD
-
So conflicted... I don't know what I want from Charli anymore. I thought I wanted an album, but maybe that desire was just for a physical music release that isn't limited or cassette tape. Realistically I don't know if I want a singular project that will be dragged out over a year long period. Yeah, with an album comes music videos and promo - but personally I don't think her music videos or live performances (in particular promotional appearances) have been very captivating lately. I think she's better dropping projects and singles when she feels like it and that suits her fanbase more in the streaming era - but I do think there needs to be more quality control. Personally I think Pop 2 was progressive in sound but as a project seemed messy and rushed compared to Number 1 Angel. Also her current method proves she can drop experimental tracks for fans as well as mainstream singles for the GP that the label can push. All in all, I just want her projects to be released on CD and Vinyl and to be accessible like an album - as opposed to Vroom Vroom being limited and Number 1 Angel / Pop 2 on cassette.
-
Still hoping we get VV / N1A and P2 on CD one day
-
I have seen a Spotify banner this week advertising the single - so promo is happening. Give Atlantic some credit.
-
So does that mean there was another song with him intended for XCX3? Wasn't he the "big male collab" that was teased in 2016?
-
I want another SuperLove style song on XCX3... That's all I ask
-
I expect 13 tracks (just for cohesion with her other albums) and I'd like a deluxe edition - especially if they pull a Rita Ora and bulk the standard tracklist with singles and then some deep cuts for fans on the deluxe.
-
I really hope she does one last push with promo, discount the single etc so it makes top 40... as if After The Afterparty was her last single as a lead to go top 40
-
Fair it was dumb to generalise the fanbase, I hold my hands up. They could've still been pitched to other artists or used later on - which is the argument for why people don't want Party 4 U to leak. That was my point initially.

Norman Fucking Rockwell - Pre-Release Thread
bored replied to Elle's topic in Retired Pre-Release Threads
For real let's not worry about when NFR will be released. The LFL situation was self inflicted - fans leaked her lead single so everything was rushed. They then leaked BAR and she started recording new material. May 26th was never confirmed by Lana herself, only publications (so info from her team). She decided to delay the record to add more material and collabs and she informed us. Every other album has come on time or when she said it would. Can't be doing with the hyperbolic "fall 2019 release" etc. Jack is recording with other artists right now and we have several confirmed tracks as well as 2 singles - so its safe to say the album is near completion, if not complete.
