  1. Haven't been very active here for the last few years but had to post this. I was listening to Iggy Pop's album Avenue B (1999) yesterday and the first song of the album, "No Shit", is just so similar to the MV intro of Ride. From the instrumental to the "It was in the winter of my 50th year..." / "I was in the winter of my life..." opening lines. LB won't let me embed video but here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TTShjCRCQA

  6. Is there a way to customize the "recently updated" thing now? (Maybe I just forgot how to do it...) I really liked being able to choose which threads I wanted to see and how many.
  7. This is the thing that really gets me... I'll probably always be a fan of her work and check on the new stuff she releases, and I also don't want to contribute with too much negativity on here because I know there are people who feel differently, BUT whatever it was that she used to have in terms of vision and creativity and that thing you can't put your finger on no matter how hard you try, it just isn't there in the same sense anymore. I would've loved to read some poetry from around the time she wrote the Ride monologue, or even anytime before 2015. There are parts here and there of Violet that I like, but overall it felt more like confirmation that the "magic" isn't really there anymore.
  8. The "voices" in this are just text to speech, no? They sound like GPS voice navigation
  9. Does anyone have all her old tweets from her main account saved? I used to love reading them

  11. man the photos in her "voice memos" post have the exact same energy as the pictures charlie usually posts
  12. I've always assumed it's purely because of her adoration/glorification of the '60s. I think she just wants to come across as being "political" in a similar way that she feels like artists of that time were being (i.e. only writing/displaying vaguely political things in her art but not doing much actual work or research, I guess).
  13. This shop in Nashville (which Lana has visited) has a "Lana Del Rey's Picks" category. I wonder if there were more than the current ones on there at some point... Anyway, fun! https://www.goodbuygirlsnashville.com/shop/lana-del-rey-s-picks/10?limit=60
  14. Doesn't seem like it, unfortunately. I've only managed to find short(-ish) clips of "They All Want You", "Don't Think Twice", and "Hallucinogenics", and nothing at all of "Suzanne"

  16. This was a fun read! I can't really remember my personal rankings from when the albums first came out, but I'm sure they've changed a little bit. Also, I've literally never felt so understood in my life
