Anthony Mandler's great, but I get kinda sick of the similarities between every single video. Ok, so the cinematography is beautiful, as well as the color palettes, but Woodkid's videos were so crisp, and talk about cinematic! His direction truly gave the feeling of a movie.

If she spreads out the ballads and does end up including a decent mix of upbeat tracks, the album would be easy to listen to. I love Born to Die in every way, but sometimes listening to the album all the way through gets tiring (if that makes sense). I have a feeling Ultraviolence, will change things up. I just honestly hope her lyrics take a more mature turn like they did in Black Beauty. I mean, c'mon, some people find the song boring, but admit it, those lyrics slay compared to some of her other songs (in the sense of a more mature direction).

I just feel like that's different because they were all coming from the same place. As in Born to Die. I would be shocked if there wasn't a new photoshoot specifically for Ultraviolence.

I don't understand where an argument came from...? If she's eligible by Academy standards, do our personal opinions and amount of knowledge on the subject matter? From what I know, you cannot enter a song if it was included on a prior release. It wasn't on BTD, therefore I doesn't matter. And I'm sure Academy members know better than I do.
