[ Yas Pepe's a Lana stan -
Whatever happens, I DO NOT want her to go mainstream. No one will appreciate her music as she'll become "just a talentless pop artist" even though her music is gold and her voice is incredible. Also, could I get a discovery too?

YAS Hurricane & New Americana were the first songs I listened to so I suppose they'll always be my favourites, just like every other artist.

Now Playing: Is There Somewhere by Halsey. I just discovered her today and I've got her on repeat. I'm in love with her song New Americana. I can see she's inspired by some of the same icons as Lana (Nirvana, Biggy Smalls, James Dean)

yess, I agree so much. but Lana still has this...style, like a sonical aesthetic. and I adore that. she can still create different sounds while still keeping in that style. I think the general sound is what many people are talking about, but I adore it. it makes Lana unique, it's almost like a copyrighted style, it's just her. I think we already know Honeymoon's sound. the title track is definitely something heavenly, so if the rest of the tracks are like it, then it will be perfect. and it still fits into Lana's style, it's actually very her. I am anticipating for Honeymoon so hard omg but in a way I'm kinda scared because the song Honeymoon is already as perfect as it is. I hope Honeymoon doesn't go mainstream, I really truly hope not -
well Honeymoon is clearly hypnotic so if the others are like Honeymoon oh God help me bc I won't be able to survive with so many songs that are able to give me a piece of heaven. Honeymoon is enough to help me sleep (I'm a big insomniac), calm me down, get me up for school (I'm horrible in the mornings), help me get through stressful situations, help me do my homework and I can listen to it on repeat without getting sick of it - during the first three days of its release, it was the only song I listened to. but I broke the chain bc I wanted to listen to something else, just because I wanted to. I have this song on repeat all the time. it's a revolutionary song for me. I couldn't cope if the whole album is like this.

Yes To Heaven and Fine China are confirmed? Da fuq? Where is tha person who invented the tracklist, maybe they actually knew... omg I hope this is on Honeymoon tho bc I adore it when Lana uses poetry in her work--that is, her own and others'.

God, I hope! I was looking back at his photos of Lana & I was thinking how his photographic tone really captures the theme I've envisioned for Honeymoon. AND THAT FRINGE I CAN'T -

it looks like an old photo...with lana's hair like that. -
Lolita is my favourite novel of all time. It's so exceptionally written, as many have said above. I love how it somehow resembles that of a love story but it is in fact quite the opposite. It's so twisted, which makes it two times more interesting...well for me anyway. I feel Lana's "daddy" theme comes from "dd/lg" (daddy dom/little girl) which I believe is branched off of or at least heavily inspired by Lolita. And the fact that Lana seems so submissive and often talks about violence in her songs kind of relate to that. Also Lana's love for road trips, as someone had also mentioned earlier. Most of the novel is when Humbert and Dolores go off, on the road and staying at lots of motels. Lana had this whole motel aesthetic going too, associated with road tripping, which is a heavy theme of the novel. Lolita is set in the late 1940s, and with songs like 1949 & Every Man Gets His Wish, I believe Lana expresses that too.

But guys this song is so incredibly beautiful. My mother adores it! Her voice is so flaunted on this track and the instrumentals compliment her vocals. The intro sounds so cinematic, so by sounding more like BTD she probably means leaning towards the cinematic feel of BTD. The intro sounds so nostalgic, it gives me the same old black-and-white movie feeling just like Lolita does, I'm leaning towards the 1962 Lolita film, but it mightn't be it, I'm pretty sure I'm thinking of an exact film though, not just old movies in general. Anyway, HM has a lovely feel and I have an idea this album will be legendary. Oh and the bridge is heaven, I knew it would be. And the ad-libs are breathtaking! fucking delete this.
