  1. i was really excited to hear that emile produced a new song with lana but when it was officially released and i listened to it on my computer with my headphones on i couldn't help but feel underwhelmed by it however the moment i blasted it in my car it definitely grew on me and the next thing i knew it i couldn't stop listening to it which is something that doesn't happen with uv for me and just reaffirms my love for lana's and emile's work together although for this song i was anticipating the climaxing beat or bass to kick in during the chorus but there is none i miss gangsta nancy sinatra lol
  2. what would've uv sounded like before she had dan auerbach redo it and what will her next album sound like are what I'm wondering it'd b awesome to have emile haynie rick nowels and dan auerbach all work on lana's next album together
  3. my favorite is her color and hairstyle in video games and born to die
  4. its either going to b cruel world brooklyn baby or pretty when u cry
  5. thanks for sharing @@evilentity this was quite insightful and i really enjoyed listening to it i just downloaded the mp3 so it'll probably be on repeat lol
  6. Right off the bat my favorites are west coast sad girl pretty when you cry and florida kilos its funny because with florida kilos i did not like it at all when i first played it earlier this morning and i didn't even listen to the whole song through and then later on in the evening i found myself humming that song in my head so now i guess i like it lol its a very lizzy-esque song and its lyrically playful which is what i like now these two songs that are in between for me that i think will grow on me later on would be cruel world and black beauty i was never a huge fan of black beauty when the demo came out last year although i think it sounds really nice but i much prefer this album version so i can see me getting more into this the more i listen to it next is ultraviolence shades of cool brooklyn baby old money and the other woman they're just mediocre to me ultraviolence and shades of cool sound like they could've belonged in the paradise album i think i was expecting way too much from the other woman and so i ended up just feeling underwhelmed with the actual track when i heard it i didn't like the radio effect thats used on her voice and i really wished it was done more acousticly similar to jeff buckley's cover of the song and then the remaining songs that i haven't mentioned above would be my least favorites which is money power glory fucked my way up to the top and guns and roses so that being said I have mixed feelings about this album as of right now
  7. My favorite part of the song is near the ending when Barrie starts singing along his voice really compliments the song and I really wish he actually got to sing a verse or two like a duet its very Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood
  8. Here's an updated, condensed version of this playlist that I made (which only contains the tracks from Born To Die, Paradise, and the new promo singles from Ultraviolence) to fit onto a CD. Let me know what you guys think. 1. Off To the Races 2. Diet Mountain Dew 3. Carmen 4. Video Games 5. Summertime Sadness 6. Gods & Monsters 7. Body Electric 8. Born To Die 9. Ultraviolence 10. Ride 11. Blue Jeans 12. Brooklyn Baby 13. West Coast 14. American 15. National Anthem 16. Bel Air 17. Shades of Cool 18. Young and Beautiful
  9. This is not sitting very well with me because I cannot stand Kanye and Kim.
  10. This is definitely my favorite version of West Coast. It has this tropical vibe to it similar to the radio mix of Summertime Sadness.
  11. In my opinion, West Coast isn't as strong, lyrically, as Born To Die and Ride. I find that BTD and Ride are the two most relatable songs from Lana which is why I love them so much. Also, the instrumentation from both songs are just incredible to me because they're very cinematic and that's what I personally like.
  12. I'm a huge fan of remixes because they can completely re-invent a song; however, there's only a handful of remixes to Lana that I, actually, like. And so far, these are my favorites: Put Me In A Movie (Coma Comfort Remix) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALuPt_EWdRA Blue Jeans (Gessaffelstein Remix) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MD5ty8hixQ Born To Die (Woodkid & the Shoes Remix) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1n8U7Rx-Yk Summertime Sadness (Ryan Hemswoth Remix) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ulxzyeo7NTY Summertime Sadness (TWINSMATIC Remix) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPKo8HuBUYg Ride (Barretso Remix) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1VfL-S8Vtk Ride (Active Child Remix) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxnwKQJfxoI Ride (SOHN Remix) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxnwKQJfxoI
