  1. Everyone knows Taylor Swift is the Republican popgirl http://www.speaker.gov/general/12-taylor-swift-reactions-president-obamas-free-college-idea
  2. 50 States = 50 Gates of Binah at the Still Pole of the World-Axis between the Blue and Red of Mercy and Severity Simone's Other Woman: http://www.oocities.org/writingryan/beauvoir.html Boy look at you, looking at me I know you don't understand You could be a bad motherfucker But that don't make you a man Now you're just another one of my problems Because you got out of hand We won't survive We're sinking into the sand Religion.m4a = Salvatore as the "Savior" The One as Shiva/Adam; the Other as Shakti/Eve, running and returning from each other down in Kali-fornia Dark Paradise. To look for love by plumbing the depths of the unconscious, "deeper and deeper," is the mystic's path ... Darling, dive deep and dark blue suede Rushing up from the water where the ice meets The Blackest Dei: Kali means "beyond time"; Atlantic says: "Her career is all about music as a time warp, with her languorous croons over molasses-like arrangements meant to make clock hands seem to move so slowly that it feels possible, at times, they might go backwards." The pole at the center of the spinning record, or Aurora's spinning wheel.
  3. The CD player in my car wasn't working, so I had to wait until now to hear the CD through hi-fi stereo speakers … now I get it. The thick bass and the delicate etheric vocals, rendered in perfect fidelity … it's pure sex; the lowest and the highest in one.
  4. This is what I noticed; it only sounds weird through my receiver … guess that's what vinyl is for
  5. Also, "Terrence Loves You" always really reminds me of a track from Heathen or The Next Day (that sax is totally "Dirty Boys") and specifically this song So, props to her for doing a Bowie tribute without only referencing the obvious tracks
  6. There is no autotune here ... honestly it always bothers me that her etheric vocals on "Cola" are so buried in the mix … and BTW "American" has to have her best-ever vocal performance; this whole album is severely underrated
  7. My headphones are kind of bassy so YMMV; this just compensates a bit … it works a lot better on my analog receiver's EQ though; iTunes' EQ is kind of shitty so maybe just forget I said anything
  8. Try the "Bass Reducer" setting in iTunes (or analog EQ knob equivalent) and the sound really opens up … Lana always seems to push the bass slightly too far on her CDs which gives them that "slow" sound (that some people don't like)
  9. It sounds like Lana recorded her vocals on tape ... I like the effect with the hissiness in the background but it makes "24" seem more out of place; it sounds very antiseptic and the treble is jacked way too far. The strength of this album is all of the melodies that bury themselves under your skin. No-one else right now has that ability.
  10. This leak doesn't sound like vinyl at all … just a 128kbps CD rip probably Anyways I wouldn't make any judgments yet … too many high-end details are lost with this encode
  11. Those guys in /mu/ are still pressed about how high Scaruffi rated Ultraviolence
  12. When I heard UV all I wanted was the vinyl … hearing Honeymoon all I want is the CD (128kbps is brutal) "Honeymoon" is the "Our Prayer (Gee)" of the album … get that High by the Watching Beach Boys (SMiLE) cred
  13. I think different regions have different songs available because mine shows MTWBT, Freak and BD only
  14. Will we get the album before the Apocalypse or is it the Apocalypse itself http://www.buzzfeed.com/perpetua/its-the-end-of-the-world-as-we-know-it-and-i-feel-fine IMMANENTIZING
  15. I read this as "Boehme metaphysical experience" way to skewer the fedora-tippers
