I think you all are over-analyzing her words as usual. Neither song may be a lead single, but they’ll find their way onto the album. She introduced Coachella/West Coast in a similar manner.

That Guardian interview theory doesn't seem to be correct...at least just based off the names. The interview took place at a "hotel with a balcony" and the apartment complex in New Orleans doesn't have balconies. The song could still be about the interview, but just pointing out that the apartment theory floating around is false.

I don’t think the Maritime Apartments theory is correct because the interview mentions Lana showing the journalist her “hotel balcony.” Those apartments don’t have balconies.

She’s making it worse with these statements.

She needs to pull out and release a *proofread* statement.

It's like people didn't learn from the Lorde backlash. Just don't schedule a show there for the time-being. I understand her good intentions, but it's so much more complex than this. The government uses these platforms/venues to perpetuate propaganda, but I also empathize with those who say that the fans should be able to enjoy this despite the system they live within. Again, could have been avoided.

That's not what she's saying at all. She's saying it's vital to respect basic, objective truths on that level of government rather than letting ourselves be distracted by fabrications.

Now, honey. There's a good statement in there somewhere, but that could have used a lot of editing. That last line needed to go, and there are several typos. She could have also done a stronger job with the comparison of artists still performing in the US despite some of the awful things happening under this administration.
