Yes, it's this: She told Rolling Stone a couple of months ago that it was recorded for Aquarius and would be on Joyride. But then said this in a recent interview:

We only have half of it, though. She originally told Rolling Stone they were finishing it for Joyride. I think it slays, personally. She kills those Aaliyah-esque vocals.

She said in a recent interview that none of her recent studio work with Drake made it onto Joyride. Please, gawd, let that not include On a Wave.

I also hope they still plan on putting On a Wave (ft. Drake) on Joyride. The snippet we have is so incredible. So excited for most of the producers working on Joyride, actually. Dev Hynes, Dpat, Hit-Boy, Boi-1da, hopefully Ritz Reynolds. Even the Max Martin/Diplo tracks could be good with Tinashe's input. Dr. Luke is the only one that could be serious shit.

I hope some of the new LP is less pop-oriented and more like Amethyst. It's such a brilliant EP. Do we know if Ritz Reynolds worked on this album? He worked on an Aquarius track or two and produced Wanderer and Just the Way I Like You from Amethyst.

I'm also hoping the rest of the songs have more of a chillwave sound a la her mixtapes or some of the slower Aquarius songs.

Loving the videos so far this era. Neither of the songs is quite up to the level of Aquarius, though.

Am I the only one hyped for Joyride? It'll be hard top top Aquarius, but I think she can. Not happy about Dr Luke producing a track, however. Player is definitely the poppiest thing she's done, but I love the house influences. The Chris Brown remix is kind of whack, though.

Tragic, but it isn't accessible to the public and it garnered critical acclaim, so whatever. It'd be different if she sold out and still didn't sell well.
