  1. Interesting... seeing he posted a Stevie Nicks outtake he did in 2000 on his website sometime in the early 10's... cmon Dave we know u have the means necessary
  2. I don't think it was ever in serious consideration to make it an official release with promotion... or an album at all. Mostly just sessions, right? You know how lana is... could be wrong tho lol
  3. yes actually, but instead of insiders on websites they had to trade special info thru fan magazines. lmfao
  4. I honestly loveeee discussions like this. random if anyones into Stevie Nicks, she basically had a very similar process to lana in the 80's lol. so much music inbetween the first sucessful albums. theres like incredibly similar threads to these discussions out there
  5. check the tracker i was listening to snips on it yesterday
  6. well if theres 42 versions. the first version is probably skeletal, a demo probably piano+vocal. as the song developed , so did the production. version 41 is probably incredibly similar to the final. you can hypothetically use that logic in any situation. obviously labels like "alt mix" and demo come into play if only one version leaks and it sounds very different. the community then adopts it as the "alternate mix", but in reality its probably version #...
  7. Which is why i ended up taking the WAV files from those sessions and getting the loudness to match the rest of BB. It didn't take me that long either, cmon Polydor...
  8. NO LIKE??? It's kinda fitting at the end there... very moody and dark LOLLL
  9. so, so, so unprofessional... i nagged the mastering engineer once, "How could you 'master' youtube rips and not know??" I always had a feeling he spoofed that whole thing for fun... Lazy
  10. Since Living Legend is included in the youtube trio, thought I would mention that the song was intended to have a string section. A duplicate session was labeled 'Send to Dan Heath.' or something along those lines.
  11. While we're on this juicy topic... has a non watermarked version of Yes To Heaven (the most well known version of it) ever surfaced? Not gonna lie.. the Check Out W W W . Music Mafia . Com. isn't my fav backing vocal.
  12. Bc when Lana ripped the songs from youtube nobody on her team exactly remembered the origin, or cared to remember.

    Rina Sawayama

You can tell they stylistically went for a more "grungey" sound on the final. Played at lower volume, it's kinda a vibe. The drums are more sheen. But theres literally zero dynamics when you listen at a higher volume and you can hear how distorted everything is from the compression. Verging onto earrape honestly. Wish they made like a compromise of both mixes

No like??? How did ANYBODY at her label/team/producers not catch this . Especially when the og mix had the correct tuning.

    Rina Sawayama

This seems to be a trend with Rina. An alt mix copy of the album leaked.. why did she ruin Hold The Girls drums wtf. And Omg this version doesn't have weird autotune on Hurricanes.

My Problématique tracklist. Def gonna reevaluate/re-do it when Keep It leaks, will probably try to make a tracklist with 16/18 flowing songs instead of a standard tracklist with deluxe songs at the end. But this 12 song (Kim said standard was only 12) tracklist works pretty well I think. Debated whether Problématique or FSN should be the opener lol Problématique (Deluxe) 1. Problématique 2. Future Starts Now 3. Je T’adore 4. Born Again 5. Coconuts 6. All She Wants 7. Revelations 8. Hit It From The Back 9. Confession 10. Something About You 11. Your Time To Cry 12. Left My Body 13. Charli XCX

wow this show is quite crazy to watch. Opening song is Roll with Me.. i miss that. Then the big car dealership inflatable tube balloons start going up, very random but I love it. Watching the sign language interpreter during Bounce is hilarious. No vroom vroom though? Strange mini xcx world show this was.

It's really good and the existing version isn't even really finished. Just verse + chorus x2 and then filler instrumental. That first verse especially is like crack. & yeah i wanna see her do some crazy plants vs zombies shit in the music video. jk
  24. Stevie's unreleased catalogue is quite similar to lana's- in the sense that theres a LOT of it. Unfortunately the quality definitely varies depending on the source/era. According to stevie her ex-husband had a yard sale after she moved out and within the stuff was a bunch of her demo tapes, which eventually made their way onto bootleg vinyl. In more recent years, people have found tapes in random storage units and sold them on Ebay. Here are some of my faves of the top of my head: Incredible 7 minute version of her unreleased song, Mirror Mirror A beautiful demo, The Maker of Birds, from when Stevie was focused on making the story of "Rhiannon" into a movie & soundtrack album (which she is still planning to do 40 years later! mini series on the way!) Forsaken Love, also from the Rhiannon tapes. A 1995 piano demo of her song "Love Is," which was eventually released in 2001. Writing this song inspired Stevie to continue writing music after a fateful dinner with Tom Petty where he basically told her to stop asking others for help because she is an amazing songwriter and she needed to find the strength within herself to return to her artistry. Stevie eventually premiered this rendition live on her 2011 tour, but the demo has yet to see an official release. Recorded during the same sessions as Mirror, Mirror, this is a fiery version of Thousand Days, released as a B-side in 1994.
  25. Agreed. I think some of my favorite looks from her came from the early 80's though. Absolutely stunning: God tier for sure Songs like Bella Donna, Edge of Seventeen, How Still My Love, Wild Heart, If Anyone Falls, Violet and Blue, Garbo, Sable On Blond, Stand Back, Beauty and the Beast, Blue Lamp... the list goes on
