Right?? This album already feels like Lana at her freest and most unrestrained. The fact that she dares to be less polished and uncompromising as she grows in her career is something to celebrate. She has such a unique, volatile, complex mind - us getting a raw glimpse of it like this is such a gift. Anyone reducing it to "uneven" or whatever is completely missing the point (although I know they're just trolling, lol).

So many people talking about ~world building~ like each Lana album doesn't have its own vibe and atmosphere. Ocean Blvd will follow suit. I'm beyonddd excited for Ocean Blvd. It's giving sprawling, unhinged, stream-of-consciousness energy. It's 80 minutes long, a variety of flavors, Lana giving negative two fucks... what's not to love?

Lana feature in Billboard Magazine - February 25th, 2023 [Print]

Totally re: worlds The only album that felt like it had less of a vision or “world” than the others to me is Blue Banisters. That felt like more of a scrapbook, intentionally messy, old songs meet new songs, loosely retracing “karmic lineage”, etc. It’s interesting that she thinks NFR! and Chemtrails don’t have their own world. They seem very rich with vision to me. Even if she utilized a couple old songs to build it, it all fits and works under a very specific atmosphere. Ocean Blvd already feels like it’s own world, though. A darker, deeper dive into Lana’s mind (and probably still picking up the pieces after Sean based on the context around the first two singles). I genuinely believe her when she says it’s her most personal album yet. -

Not to be “that person”, but I’m really happy Jack came in and helped polish the album. It was sort of obvious she was working with guys who weren’t super trained or experienced with what they were doing on Blue Banisters. I still love that album for what it is and it’s character, but it’s definitely her worst sounding album, audio-quality wise. Every other album sounds so amazing to my ears, so I’m happy there’s more of a focus on that this time.- 143 replies

Lighter and jacket ordered. Hilarious that it's like $20 cheaper to order from the UK store with the discount code than it is to buy from the US store, where it's already being shipped from. Her team is full of scammers. -

I bought the lighter ... Decided to buy the jacket but my discount code won't work and I refuse to buy it without a discount. Your choice, Lana store! -
I love anyone who loves Lana. I just hate when new fans discover her through BTD-era and then shit on her more newer work. (But I guess they're more open to adapting than the BTD fans who still complain about each new era after 11 years.)
