  1. I love this because a) it's unhinged, b) she's having fun, c) it gives both sides of her fans what they want -- the first half is this moody, '90s grunge, classic rock vibe, and then the second is Lana back to flowing over hip-hop beats like she did earlier on in her career. I think it's funny when people say she's being too safe and then she releases something batshit like this and then people aren't into it. She's just doing what she wants. It isn't that deep.
  2. I loveeeeee all the background vocals on this song. Her laughing, vaping, screaming, sighing... sounding full of sass. You can tell she had a blast on this one. I mean, look at me: Look at the length of my hair My face, the shape of my body— Do you really think I give a damn what I do After years of just hearing them talking? Body shamers given the FINGER.
  3. OK but the user who said this gives slight Courtney Love/Hole grunge vibes on the first half... yes!
  4. Not me wishing she actually went for it and called the album Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd Pearl Watch Me on Ring a Bell Psycho Lifeguard.
  5. I prefer the first half but I know everyone was sort of wanting something like the second half from her and it's super UNHINGED as a whole so ofc I love it
  6. it's the way i'm just praying to have the song in a matter of hours that's it anything else would be extra extra sugary sweet
  7. such a fun and refreshing album, going to be perfect for a breezy beach this summer~
  8. yeah, it really sucks and has no business on BB. the only reason i use it is bc i associate it with Lana flipping me off and being a bad b in the Arcadia video.
  9. I'm very happy we don't have super early leaks anymore. *knocks on wood* Now if we make it past March 10 without one, that will be miraculous...
  10. am I setting myself up by listening to Venice Bitch on repeat? gurlies i am just SO HAPPY we finally have another 7+ minute song headed our way i could honestly cry... i've been asking for so long

  12. Let me just listen to Coconuts on a loop until tomorrow morning. That is the energy of this thread.
  13. It'd be helpful if we could pin posts at the top of the thread for the "when is it coming" gurlies~ <3
  14. Just because I'm being a nerd about this: Chemtrails Jack Antonoff – mixing (except 8) Laura Sisk – mixing (except 8) Kieron Menzies – engineering (8), mixing (8) Dean Reid – engineering (8), mixing (8) Trevor Yasuda – engineering (8) John Fee – engineering (8) John Rooney – engineering assistance (except 8) Jon Sher – engineering assistance (except 8) Chris Gehringer – mastering Blue Banisters Adam Ayan – mastering engineer (1–10, 12–15) MIke Dean – mastering engineer, mixer (11) Dean Reid – mixer (1, 3–8, 10, 15), engineer (1, 4–8, 10, 15) Gabe Simon – mixer (2), engineer (1, 2) Drew Erickson – mixer (3, 6–8, 15) Michael Harris – mixer (3–8, 15), engineer (4–8, 15) Cian Riordan – mixer (5) Jason Wormer – mixer (9) Lana Del Rey – mixer (12–14), recording arranger (4) Barrie-James O'Neill – mixer (12–14) No wonder people felt the mixing on Blue Banisters was a mess. There are 8 credited mixers across the album, some on the same tracks. Chemtrails had the same mixers (Jack and Laura) except for Yosemite. I hope the credits for Ocean Blvd will be more streamlined mixing-wise. It's obvious Drew isn't super great at mixing yet (I know there were a lot of complaints with Arcadia + Beautiful initially), which makes sense since his main role is composer/producer.
