  1. Off the top of my head: White Dress Chemtrails Over the Country Club Blue Banisters Terrence Loves You Old Money Pawn Shop Blues Honeymoon ("dreaming away your life") Yayo (OG) God Knows I Tried Bel Air and A Star For Nick have also made me really emotional - there's something hymnal about them that strikes something deep in me. White Dress made me cry on first listen. I've cried a lot to the first two songs on that album a lot this year. Chemtrails is my most played Lana song to this day. It's the strangest song of hers for me - I don't know why it has the effect on me it does... I never get sick of it, and it always wrecks me.
  2. listened through again, it's definitely fixed for me. i hope it refreshes on yours asap!
  3. Preach. It's a highlight of the album to me. The ending of the album is such a 1-2 punch.

    Beautiful

    Oooh... I hadn't considered that...
  5. Not me considering Dealer to be the banger (with Black Bathing Suit as the backup).
  6. I'm with you! I feel so teased by the jazzy piano on Sweet Carolina, the horns on IYLDWM, the almost free-form drumming on Black Bathing Suit, and even the more progressive, complex piano cascading along Beautiful. I'm a huge fan of Lana backed by strings, horns, piano, etc. I would love for an album full of jazzier tunes. I have a feeling we'll get one someday.

    Beautiful

Yesssss! It lives up to its title. It makes me think of ... ice skating in December ... snow ... winter ... This played directly after Sweet Carolina and I totally got the Debussy vibes @lanadelrey referenced earlier in the album thread. The piano work on this song just might be my favorite. It's never stagnant and always moving, it adds so much character and depth to what otherwise might be considered a simpler song.
  8. have you closed and refreshed the app? i swear mine's been fixed... but you have me second guessing myself now!
  9. Can I just say... I am so thankful they fixed the Spotify version of the album. Sat here with Beautiful on repeat because my ears aren't shattering.
  10. Beautiful (album version) >>> Beautiful (with strings)

    Beautiful

I'm pretty sure it's "Eccentricities holding me back" instead of "He's interested, he's holding me back"!
  12. Agreed about it being a very sad song. There's always comfort in denial.

    Text Book

Definitely one of her most opaque and layered songs meaning-wise, if not the most. I found it interesting that critics didn't even attempt to dissect it. A very heavy song for her to make Track 1 on any album, but she manages to make it sound like a warm breeze.
  14. UK fans, wtf are you doing? Duran Duran??? Y'all better be streaming/buying.
  15. Same! I love this album because it's her vision, explaining her story, a very important transitional album... But I'm also very excited at the thought of her tapping into this deeper form of writing for her next fully 'modern day Lana' album.
  16. Yes! Hearing her talk about her favorite songs on the album, and the songs she specifically referenced… Arcadia, Living Legend, Cherry Blossom, Nectar of the Gods, Dealer… It’s clear that she loves these songs and wasn’t just throwing them onto the album for the hell of it. I was actually surprised she was talking about and referencing the older songs so much! I’m happy they found a home.
  17. I hope y'all are buying the album and supporting the Queen...
  18. Does anyone know which book Lana was talking about, the one she refused to specify, about making firm declarations and receiving messages/psychic abilities, etc?
  19. I loved the performance. Surprise baddie energy. Her glare during the second verse was intense.
  20. The first words that came to mind for me were 'Lithium' and 'Mother'.
  21. Wow, I know everyone hates Sean here, but it sounds like that relationship in particular really messed her up (I'm on page 1159, still catching up).
  22. this whole entire thing sounds extremely loony. love love love.
  23. the slightly unhinged energy of it all... just reading the text... exactly why I love her
  24. Just thinking of @graham4anything today. I miss our king. Another release day without him and his beautiful, passionate writing. We miss you, Graham... xo
  25. ooh this is such good news, that means she has her pattern <3
