Unpopular opinion, but LMLYLAW has better lyrics than Love Song. They're both good, but they do feel connected in some way. Like Love Song is the start of their romance, and LMLYLAW is the wanting for more just before it ends. (Is it considered off topic to compare a COCC song to another album's song? I wouldn't think so, but...)

Then she should put Violet on streaming for us.

I mean, we'll see if we even get White Dress on the 26th (I'm praying we do). In that case, I'll definitely be listening, and on repeat. It'll be less than a month until we get the whole album. I'm down for another piece of the puzzle.

Question for the culture: Why didn't we get a white vinyl. I thought we were white hot forever this era. In a white dress. Next to white picket chemtrails... over the country club.

I like both Chemtrails Over the Country Club and White Hot Forever equally. Both are fantastic album titles. White Hot Forever would have been more controversial, though.

I just checked my stats. Chemtrails: 303 plays LMLYLAW: 265 plays Both songs still sound pretty fresh to me somehow... I never get sick of Chemtrails. It just continuously unravels over 4 minutes.

But on the other hand, I think that's what makes this album so exciting. I actually love that she's uncomfortable with it, for whatever reason. NFR! felt so clear-headed and lucid to me. If that album was Lana sailing on blue waters away from the fiery hills, this album feels like Lana walking through the smoke (alternative cover teas). It's obvious she feels untethered, and unanchored... that sort of existential confusion, longing, and exploration is something that I find makes for the best art. I wonder if this is just the beginning of her going down the rabbit hole into another angrier, stormier album, given that the sound of this album seems to only hint at the frustration and pain she's been sharing in her latest interviews. This album is sort of serving "tornado warning on a sunny day in the midwest" vibes... You can hear the sense of uneasiness lurking within the title track, LMLYLAW is supposed to be sweet and light, but comes off sounding almost pleading, or desperate in a way. Idk. Just my thoughts.

I don't use TikTok and I think all these ... potentially developmentally delayed ... Tik Tok users getting upset over it is hilarious. But it's not going to hurt Lana. Even Question for the Culture has benefitted her it seems.

I'm intrigued by Mojo saying the album is "sunny". I don't really get that from the first two tracks we've heard... if anything I get "evening drive through the midwest on a lonely highway" vibes. But maybe the rest of the album is happier alongside Yosemite?

Yeah, the translucent pressing is the biggest next to the black. It might as well be a standard version, even though it's a webstore exclusive. It'll take a while to sell out.

The price points on the cassettes alone are so fraudulent depending on what site you use. $15/each from Universal, $23/each from her webstore.

Now I have: Vinyl - Clear - Grey - Red - Yellow - Green - Beige - Spotify Picture Disc Cassette - #3 w/ signed art card Still on the fence about Picture Disc #1, black vinyl, CD, and the other cassettes. Flop fan!

Fuck. Of course all the signed shit is next. I hate myself. I really do. But I'm thankful I don't buy cassettes. I'm also going to ... not buy the standard black or WalMart picture disc for now. I hate picture discs, but I don't want to miss out on anything!
