It's the same reviewer who tanked Chemtrails with a 30 when it was sitting at 85 on Metacritic. They do this every time with her. They need to be reported to Metacritic. This is completely intentional and it's bullshit.

Damn, this thread is super negative I've never really checked for her but I LOVE Death and Void.

I like the Assai variant - I have the Chemtrails, but I wasn't too bummed I missed out on this one. It does feel more like a gimmick than anything, even if it is kinda cool. Now I'm looking to see if the white store exclusive is available on any of her other stores.

So her store emailed me back and said they can’t mail me a replacement white vinyl because they’re sold out again. Ugh, so frustrating. Why did my vinyl come with a massive scratch on it? Her label clearly does not care about quality control.

Doesn't count, of course. My white vinyl came yesterday and there's a huge vertical scratch down one of the sides. Thrilling.

Yeah, we should get a sales update today or tomorrow. If the crazy K Pop fans have called us to war, we may all need to buy another copy or two. But seriously - another #1 in the UK, 100K+ in the US, 80+ Universally Acclaimed on Metacritic, BNM on Pitchfork — this is honestly all we could have asked for.

One of her most achingly beautiful songs. I swear this song will be regarded in the future as a discography highlight.

Let the Light In is probably never going to touch my Top 5 on this album (too much competition), but I absolutely LOVE her placement within the album. The song just feels so good when it appears after such an emotionally heavy stretch. I adore it.

I already have the standard CD + all the vinyl (except Amazon's until they press it on the correct color, lol) AND just bought 3 cassettes from the UK store, but I'm going to go buy the Target CD tomorrow just because.

I think she meant it isn't a good "song" in terms of what an actual "song" is supposed to be (catchy, defined chorus, etc)... not anything to do with Fingertips' quality.

I'm tired of waiting on Amazon's slow ass (even w/ my Prime membership). I'm going to WalMart tonight to buy the standard CD + vinyl.

I honestly love it. It's frightening, eerie, unsettling, and odd... And the super strong reactions people are having to it make me appreciate it even more. That's what art should do. I'm gay, grew up in the church, have had a very mixed experience with religion, but I find Lana's artistic vision fascinating and compelling. The interludes are obviously here to add a thick layer of heavy atmosphere. It doesn't bother me at all, but I can understand why others may not like it, projecting off their own lived experiences. Megachurches and celebrity pastors are evil if you ask me, but that's also why I'm not surprised Lana's intrigued by them.

Holy shit, her subreddit is insufferable right now re: the Judah Smith Interlude. It's always insufferable, but I had to actually close out of it.
