Chemtrails Over the Country Club Merch & Media Drop
West Coast replied to Elle's topic in New Releases
Note to all the Canadian besties out there ?? : do not order any Chemtrails merch directly on her store. Try to order on Universal Music Canada instead. Her official store will charge you an arm and a leg for shipping alone, whereas UMC won't (the merch prices are the exact same btw). ? -
Rarest item? I would say my green lyrics book, but only because she signed it for me. I wish I had the Paradise box set, even though it's not that rare per se.

I agree with all of that except when you say that the instrumentals build up throughout the song. The lyrics are good, and the melody is actually beautiful, but I wish the instrumentation had been a bit louder and not as subdued and soft. The song would've benefit from being a bit more bombastic and hard hitting in my opinion. After hearing the cover from that Australian band (that I can't remember the name, sorry!), I just thought to myself that 'COCC' honestly had the potential to be a more intense track.

No tea no shade, I still like you, but you will also never hear things how I hear them. Let's not pretend like there is not much else to do but quoting each other about our different opinions and perspectives. It's been a little over a month since she dropped the track, it gave everyone time to listen, analyze and form opinions. Unlike what little miss @God&Monster I don't think it's a love/hate type of situation, like I said I love the track, there are elements about the track I enjoy, and others more or less. So what am I saying that's wrong? Besides 'COCC' is a much better, more interesting single than the ever so dreadful 'LMYLAW'.

No tea no shade, I like COCC, but it appears that she came up with the title first then wrote a random song around it. Still good, but let's not pretend like this is her most intricate work to date just because she says "contemplating God under the chemtrails over the country club" and then proceeded to wax poetics about zodiac signs.

Say crack again?
