When I first joined this site it was crawling with Taylor Swift fans, threads would litterally become enveloped with people talking about their favourite song off Red. Where have they gone? Don't really care much about her but Blank Space and Wildest Dreams are pretty awesome. She has implied before that her process starts from deciding the name and the theme of the record. I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that she decided to call her next album Ultra-violence and have eleven tracks on the record before she had written the title track or any songs off the record. She has already expressed interest in working with Giorgio Moroder, and he's talked about working with her, so right now I don't care how long we have to wait because I'm sure that if she's already excited enough to be talking about her next record and if both of them are interested whatever we get will be fucking awesome. Not sure if he'll work with her on some EP re-release of UV like she's talked about making before, or whether they'll produce an entirely new record together. (Just imagine a HOUSE style Lana era )

She has talked in other interviews about making an EP to go with Ultraviolence, I can't remember when but in one interview she said something like: "I'm really happy at the moment because I'm starting to visualise an EP that would go perfectly with Ultraviolence, which hasn't happened since Born To Die: The Paradise Edition" I find her perspective when it comes to writing an album really fascinating. This shows that Paradise could have been a seperate record, but it's sonic similarities to BTD were what convinced Lana to make it an add-on to that record. It shows that each record, in Lana's eyes, has to be a very distinctive piece of her discography, she could never make two records that are too similar, which I guess validates her description of each new record as an "era" That said, it also seems like Paradise shows a bit of the pop-rock vibes that became pivitol on UV, so if she does release an EP sometime next year, that'll probably give us a pretty clear idea of where she's heading for her next "era"

I don't really follow this thread. One question, that whole thing about Lana's 7 year relationship with some record exec... Is that just a load of bullshit? I mean, she dated both Reeve Carney and Mike Mizrahi at different points in her young life, and she moved to new york when she was 18... Does that give her enough time to do begin and end a 7 year relationship before being discovered. If so... Lana's one busy girl Idk, I'm so confused someone please explain.

You basically just said it's only fun to be a women when the entire male gender act like apes and oppress your rights. Summing up anyone that isn't of the female gender as an "oppressor" is the kind of stupidity usually reserved to South Park characters. By that logic a straight women fighting for equality is somehow also the adversary for the LGBT community.

Well Lana is beautiful, that's not her fault, they don't try and emphasise that and they have her wearing casual and realistic clothes. Plus throughout the entire scene she is struggling against her attacker, and that last shot of her in tears after the ordeal is over is absoloutely heartbreaking, not hot. The fact you were checking out her hair while watching a graphic rape scene is pretty fucking sickening.

This is the best thing that ever happened to Lana's career. Her self-asteem? Maybe for awhile she'll be pretty taken aback that someone she seems to respect and admire so much actually threatened to physically assault her, but in the long run watching someone you idolise stoop to such low levels just to get a reaction out of you (and also try and name-check you to stay relevent) is probably quite a gratifying experience. And hey, this gives Lana more fuel for some sarcastic-ass diss track come her next LP.
