Norman Fucking Rockwell - Pre-Release Thread
Hannus replied to Elle's topic in Retired Pre-Release Threads
yeah.... i mean i don't have a problem with the song but i don't want to see it on the album. but since she already announced it with a date and tracklist and the preodrer has already started it probably won't be included as the production of the cds/vinyls are probably finished and ready to ship by now. so maybe for the next record? -

me neither and i'm getting worried... but it's good to know that i'm not the only one -
Welllll, i wouldn't call myself particularly experienced in this as nobody really comes to perform where i live, but i've been in the front row 3 times so far, once during the paradise tour, once at a festival, and once at a Marina concert. There isn't really a special trick that could be used, you just have to get there early. VERY early given the capacity of these venues. Also it helps if you go with someone or make friends while waiting so they can keep your spot in the queue if you need to go to the bathroom. Don't let anyone get in front of you while waiting (there will always be some people who'll try). When the gates open, run as fast as you can. I always ask someone at the venue who works there to tell me exactly how i'll get inside (eg. which door will open, which entrance is closest to the front, which direction do i have to run, will there be any stairs that i have to look out for, etc.) so i don't have to think or look, just run. Some fans also write numbers on their hands so everyone knows their place in the queue. That's pretty much it.

i think you can go inside though, or at least that's how it was with all my (2) front row concerts, but i guess it also depends on the venue. i am planning to go see her in Berlin and i already checked the venue and it appeared to me that we could wait inside, but i'll try to find a more detailed map/floor plan of the building

oh girrrrrrl same!!!! though at this point i would even travel to fricking London to see her if it was a normal show with a good setlist. do we have any info on when she will announce the tour? because the pre-order is coming in a few hours and it would be most logical if we got a pre-sale code with our order -

yeah, i'm heartbroken though i'm sure it will get leaked eventually, but it would have been nicer to get it from her, officially, since it meant so much for her -

i think we're getting something today, i can feel it in my bones. probably not pre-order or release date though, but she might announce a single today and then release it on friday, accompanied by a small interview and an announcement -

i've thought about it too, i 100% agree, i think they are just really lq demos -
hm. i really loved it when it came out but it did not age well for me, i hardly ever listen to it nowadays, and about half of the album (the middle) is a skip for me. unfortunately there were a few things that happened during the lfl era that were disappointing for me, such as her live performance (it wasn't her fault though) and that mess with the release date, plus some not so good stuff in my personal life. and the fact that she didn't put yosemite on the album... i will never ever get over it, and i still haven't given up hope that it will be included on the new album. the era overall was amazing though, we got so many interviews and shoots and stuff, so many things happened, we were being SO well fed, looking back it's hard to believe lol. and it definitely does NOT deserve all the slander it gets on here sometimes.

Ugh, you’re not the only one sis... It would be okay to have them as bonus tracks maybe so people who like those songs could get an official hq version but on the actual album....no. Lana please don’t. -

plus she was the one who paved the way for them with her sad girl music so -

you mean this one? i agree, it would suit the era and this "day in the life" feel she said the album had. -
apart from the driving, she looks so happy, she's glowing

i hope you're right and we get something soon i'm not sure i will be able to get hyped again for this though, at this point getting the album just doesn't seem realistic to me, so even if we started getting actual info i would not be able to believe that we will ever get it, and that's really sad -

no. i don't think so. i don't think there's enough time to announce everything til August. she would only have 1 month to release a single (maybe a mv), give us a release date, album cover, tracklist, preorder, and maybe do interviews ( ), plus the poetry book. it would have to be really quick, and that's not really her thing imo. so i'd say maybe september if we're lucky. -

imagine running into Lana, asking for a picture and then taking one using a filter -
but it's so important to have that type of music, i don't always want to listen to gloomy, deep, life changing records, sometimes i just want something light and fun that i can enjoy in the summer. the thing that i like most about Kim and her music is that it feels effortless and genuine, and that's all i want. btw my top five would be do me (i listen to it every single day before i go to work), another one, personal hell, clarity, and meet the parents

tbh knowing Lana i can't imagine her sticking to a certain lifestyle (or anything really) for a longer period of time. not to sound mean or anything but i also doubt she has the willingness to put in the effort. i think the rumors about her being vegan mainly come from her spending time with people who are vegan and eating with them (Chuck, Stella, "vegan thanksgiving" video, etc.)

that's what i'm afraid of too. but i think it would be fine if she put it out with the album though, and sold it on her website only, not trying to pretend that it's a masterpiece (i don't think she sees it as that anyway). selling it with the album as a nice little bundle would be pretty amazing (and the smartest thing to do), similar to Florence's Useless Magic. her fans will be the only ones purchasing it anyways, so why complicate things lol -
i love it when they stand IN FRONT OF Lana and we can't see her

tbh i don't think that her being "in the studio" means anything. when she was in the studio a few months ago with Jack and Marina everybody was so sure they were working on a collab and it turned out they were just hanging out so i would not jump into conclusions. of course there is a possibility that they were in fact writing/recording something, maybe for nfr, but i find it unlikely. but then again, who knows. we will probably never find out -

hmm for me, the colours of the album in general are the colours of a flowery meadow at sunset, lots of greens and yellows and earth tones. venice bitch - light green/yellow (the colour of dry grass lol) mac - dark green/dark blue how to disappear - orange/red cinnamon - dark pink (sort of a wine colour but a little pinker) in your car - yellow/white hiab - light blue stronger - blood red nfr - maybe brown but we know we're not getting any visuals or album art or album so -
Stockholm, Sweden @ Lollapalooza - June 28, 2019
Hannus replied to Beautiful Loser's topic in 2019 Performances
it might just be me but i feel like she enjoys her shows more and puts a little more effort into them (compared to lattm shows), and i love it. and venice bitch as a closer is perfect, it's a spiritual experience, i watched clips of her performing it on insta last night and i was so overwhelmed that i couldn't fall asleep for hours, and i wasn't even there lol -
I agree, that was one of my first favourites from her, i played it on repeat for months in 2012, i wish she performed it live sometimes.
