Hannus replied to Elle's topic in Retired Pre-Release Threads
same... we haven't gotten anything since january, i'm starving, and i know this cover is not going to be enough to make feel satisfied for God knows how many months until the album release... i just hope that real "promotion" starts soon, i don't like to be kept in the dark, i need some actual info -

strange that you mentioned it... bc i dreamed about them today and i spent all day thinking about them getting back together. i even watched summer wine again after years lol. i just feel that this era matches their vibe as a couple. i like think vb and mac are about Barrie. i'm probably wrong though. -
New single: "Doin' Time" (Sublime cover) - OUT NOW
Hannus replied to Say Yes to Heaven's topic in New Releases
same... at this point i'll only believe it when i see it. and even if the song really comes out it will be hard for me to get hyped again, after half a year of dryness and disappointment but i'm hopeful -

i don't think that it's a new thing, Alessandro has styled and worked with Florence for well over a year now and even collaborated on Florence's poetry/lyrics book -
she also went to get some icecream with her friend (that skirtsandsuits one) the same day:

When and how did you discover Harry Potter? My mom took us to the cinema to see the first movie, and after that i watched all of them when they came out, but that was it. But 5 years ago i decided to read the books and that's how my obsession started. Since then i've read all the books ~10 times lol, reading them was a great source of comfort for years. What's your favorite film? Half-Blood Prince or Deathly Hallows Pt1 maybe? What about your favorite book? If i had to pick one i'd say it's goblet of fire, because i like how it's built up, starting with Harry's nightmare in the first chapter and ending with his worst nightmare becoming reality. I also love the way JKR writes about Harry's emotions in that book, i relate to it so much. But i also love Pilosopher's Stone, Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows as well. Who's your favorite character and why? I like Hermione because she's a lot like me I also love Luna, she's so pure. This is a bit random but i also really like Olliwander, i love that he's all about his magic. Favourite spell? Stupefy What's your House? I'm a proud Ravenclaw What's your Patronus? Well, according to Pottermore, it's a ragdoll cat. And i'm fine with that

You might be right about this. She finished her tour in spring and then she went straight back to studio and worked on NFR all summer (and maybe autumn as well) so saying that she needed a break would be a fair assumption. But in that case it would have made more sense to take a break, finish the book, and THEN release MAC and VB and announce the new album. -

I just checked her instagram and omg. she even has a picture of some plastic diamonds that spell BAD and she captioned it -ie... like... baddie? Jesus.I just hope and pray that these new friendships don’t seep into NFR. It had such an amazing beginnig, I don’t wanna see it ruined. -

Lana's lacking live performances - a discussion
Hannus replied to Beautiful Loser's topic in Lana Thoughts
for me, the worst part is that i feel so ungrateful when i criticize her live performances, like i know that there are thousands of fans who never get a chance to see her, and i know that it's a HUGE privilege that i got to see her live twice, but at the same time saying that i wasn't disappointed after her lattm show is a lie. (though i try to blame my disappointment on the circumstances, not her performance, that makes me feel a little better ) -
i don't think she thinks about it as "serious" poetry though, i think it's just a way of self expression for her, and i think that's the main reason she said she just wanted to drop a few copies in some bookshops instead of publishing it properly. i agree that it's not very good poetry, but it's nice to have a sneak peek into her mind

Moments/memories of your life involving Lana's music
Hannus replied to Beautiful Loser's topic in Lana Thoughts
when i was in high school i used to go for a bike ride almost every day, around a lake very close to my hometown, and i would always stop and sit down to read and to listen to Lana, so most of the songs on btd, paradise and aka remind me of that place. i went through a lot of change during that period in my life, that was the time when i felt like i became myself, so those songs and that place are extra special to me. another memory i have: when tropico was released we played it at school during recess on the digital board in the classroom, and we didn't stop playing it when recess ended because we wanted to watch as much of it we could, so when the teacher entered the classroom there were strippers dancing on the screen -
Lana spotted at Hillsong again - January 30, 2019
Hannus replied to Peachycream's topic in Sightings
i kinda agree with you, i'm not happy about her going there, but i don't really worry about it, at least for now. and the main reason for that is because she doesn't seem like a very consistent person to me. i obviously don't know her personally, but that's how i see her, she always picks things up and then drops them. so i'm guessing this new religious phase (if we can even call it that) will only last a few months at worst, and then it will probably go away -

i saw her live april 19 6 years ago, so if your predictions turn out to be right and NFR ends up being released on our anniversary... i'm not sure i could handle it but i hope you're right -
i will never forget the moment when i first saw the Born To Die music video 7 years ago... i fell in love with her immediately, and she's been holding me captive ever since. and her music is the main reason we found each other with my best friend, it created the first link between us... i can't describe how grateful i am

that floral bundle she's burning... she's being witchy again also, what kind of book is that? can anybody read the title?

ugh, that would be soooo good! imagine an mv inspired by those pictures of sylvia plath on the beach by gordon lameyer, it would be so beautiful! though if it really is the saddest shit she's ever written a sunny beach might not suit the song that well... -

I hope and pray that it means that she is adding the final touches, and working on the visuals of the new era, and a new (hq) mv maybe... hopefully she confirms this date soon bc at the moment i can't believe it 100% and it feels really weird, like i'm REALLY excited and hyped but at the same time my skepticism is holding me back and it kinda feels like being in a cage -

I wonder how she feels about yosemite... like, does she even know how thirsty her fans are? Is she aware of that? Or does she even remember the song? Or has she forgotten it long long time ago? -
west coast! song to boost your confidence?
-
ooooh wow i love your theory! it gives an extra layer to the album. i hope she gives a track-by-track interview or something so we'll know exactly what went on in her mind when she wrote these songs
-
She could sing me yosemite for compensation

Could it be that the some of the snippets (eg htd, sylvia and hiab) are only demos and that’s why they are all piano ballads? That’s just a wild guess, but that’s what i thought after hearing the sylvia snippet. I might be completely wrong though.
