mondotrasho liked a post in a topic by Elle in Lana Del Rey for Keds - Video & Photoshoot Recreation
Hi friends! I've been meaning to post this for like ever, but I kept forgetting. Anyway, last August I had some fun recreating Lana's video & photoshoot for Keds that was shot on August 26, 2009 - I shot mine August 25, 2018, 9 years + 1 day apart! I wanted to share the finished product with you all as I thought it turned out pretty cute (instagram saw it first though, follow me @ xmissdaytona if ya feel like it)
Another fun fact, most of the video footage from the video were from Live Photos from the photoshoot I converted to videos, so I wasn't even really intending to create a whole video out of it, but I thought it turned out cute.
Enjoy!
xoxo,
Elle

mondotrasho liked a post in a topic by Sitar in LANALYSIS: Relating Songs To Known/Assumed Relationships
Welcome to LANALYSIS, where we get real unhealthy in our obsessions and absolutely revel in it.
This is a project I've been maintaining for a while now--Lana + Analysis...get it? The basic purpose is to relate every one of her songs (that's right, every last one of them) to her known and assumed relationships. Not a stone is left unturned. Privacy is violated. The fans rejoice. Mind you, it’s all pure speculation, but ~this is what makes us stans~
It’s pretty long but an interesting read, if I do say so myself. I hope you enjoy it in all it’s updated glory, and I will continue to update as new information is revealed and new songs come out. I will also be adding pictures, sources, etc. Stay tuned!
Let’s get started!
EARLY RELATIONSHIPS (1985 - ~2005)
LOCAL ROCKSTARS (~2005 - 2009)
YOU MADE ME NICE FOR A WHILE (2009 - 2011)
POST-BREAKTHROUGH (2011+)
IN THE LAND OF DISCREPANCIES
ADVANCED LANALYSIS
IN SUMMARY..
Lingering questions…
- Who the fuck is K?
- Who the fuck is Ray?
- Who the fuck is Bill? Is Bill really K? Does Bill matter at all?
- What significance do cars play? She mentions eight in total (white Corvette, white Pontiac, blue Chevy Nova/Chevrolet, Cadillac convertible, Mercedes, pickup truck, Lamborghini, Bugatti Veyron)
- When was she/who was she with in New York City and New Jersey? Ditto LA? Most mysterious and pressing, her time in the South?
- Did she have a fling with Bradley Soileau?
- Did Chris C. matter enough to her for her to write songs about him?
Assumptions Made:
- Lana was a gogo dancer.
- K is a drug dealer/murderer, dead or on death row.
- Jimmy is her ex-fiancé, addicted to cocaine despite a Wikipedia page stressing how healthy he is, associated with Chevrolets.
- Much of Sirens is about completely different relationships.
- She fucked Bradley.
- Mike controlled her career but their relationship wasn’t associated with anything fucked up like drugs or stripping.
Thanks for reading! I crave both your feedback and theories! This remains a forum collaboration and I don't claim to have the final say on Lanalytical manners.
For the sake of believability, I'm always hunting receipts, and currently:
- The interview where she refers to "Yayo" as the prequel to "Video Games"
- The interview where she describes "Video Games" as dealing with mutual sobriety in a relationship--her and her partner both staying clean.
- The interview where she talks about meeting her boyfriend in rehab and being dazzled by his small-scale celebrity.

Hey guys, this is my first post on here, I've actually done quite a lot of artwork, I'm a design student. Chelsea Hotel No.2 is one of my favorite Lana songs, It came out right after I had my heart broken for the first time. I'd known about the song before, but Lana's cover just made it so much more personal for me. Here's my Chelsea Hotel No.2 artwork, let me know what you guys think.
Here's my unfinished Heavy Hitter Cover
And a real quick attempt at White Pontiac Heaven
I LOVE the song TV in Black & White. It's so melancholy, but at the same time sweet. I felt like I needed to make a cover for it. I used an old Crosley Television Ad and I think the bottom portion is still lacking seriously. I'd love some feedback/advice on it. I'll probably be working on another more complicated cover for this song as well, so stay tuned.
Version without Jail Cell Background:
Live Or Die
Summer Wine:
A friend of mine asked me to make her a cover for her unreleased folder, so I threw this together. It's not real good, but I thought I'd post it anyway.
It's not really a cover, but I colorized this photo that was only released in black and white
Here's three quick covers made for Happiest Girl In The Whole USA and The End Of The World
Here's something I tried with Florida Kilos. I'm gonna play with it a bit more, but I can't figure out what to do with the work Kilos

mondotrasho liked a post in a topic by Guy in Shitty covers I make because I'm bored
Okay, so since I really really hate the cover they chose for the paradise edition and I have a lot of free time [via being a pie], I made one myself for me to think I'm better than them -which I'm absolutely not, you'll see.
So whatever, I decided to post it here in case anyone else hates the album artwork more than this.
One for the ep and one for the album.
Ep
The other one
I used this photo because I liked it and because I couldn't find a proper hq version of the blue jeans outtake they photoshopped, so if you have it send it to me or post it here and I will happily make one with that, or don't. I don't care.

Lana Del Rey has become somewhat of a style icon- an accomplishment that she herself never expected, saying that her sister, Chuck, had once told her that she would kill herself if Lana ever became a style icon- because she had no style.
These are just a few of the things that have helped her create her status in the fashion world:
The Hair
The White Performance Dress
The Jackets
Americana Themes
Floral Hair Wreaths
What are your favorite and least favorite Lana looks? Do you prefer her casual/dressed up? How would you like to see her styled? (Can include attire, hair style, etc.)
Also, if you are interested in any pieces of her clothing, post here and we will help you find it!

mondotrasho liked a post in a topic by 10milestereo in Fordham Road
I love, love, love this song so much because I feel really personally connected to it. I grew up near Fordham Road, so I can offer my take on the geography, at least. I'm almost certain the "bad neighborhood" she's talking about is on one side of Fordham, which you would have to pass through if you were walking up to Fordham Road from downtown (Harlem/South Bronx). The other side, going uptown, is a decent neighborhood. In the vicinity is a Catholic girls' high school, which has a stone statue of the Virgin Mary on a rocky hill in their garden, which is in clear view as you walk past. Valentine refers to Valentine Avenue, which is a cross street in the neighborhood. Depending on which route you took, you'd have to pass the statue in order to walk up to Valentine Av. I hope all that made sense!
