I agree wholeheartedly, but she is always insisting that she didn't mean whatever it is she's posted and that she meant something else, which is why I think she needs help with that.

I don't know how this is all going to play out. I can't see her ditching social media altogether because she's very visual, and I don't think an arrangement like Lorde's newsletters-in-lieu-of-social-media would work for her in terms of promotion and releases. I don't like the idea of her having someone else run her social media for her, and she doesn't strike me as the type of person who would go for that anyway. However, I think it's clear that she needs some assistance - she needs someone, either in an official or unofficial capacity, to run posts by. Hindsight is 20/20, but I think that most people here (for example) could've anticipated the obvious problems with her original typewritten post, had we been shown it before she posted it. Like, I read it within 2 minutes of it going up, and immediately thought, "she's probably going to get roasted for name dropping Black women and using a false analogy". I feel like most people who read it probably thought the same. Maybe she is running posts by someone, but whoever that is is clearly a moron, so she should pick someone else.

Of course I am fully supportive of her attending protests, but I hope she's super careful because if anyone recognises her there I'm a bit concerned about what could happen considering how many people are angry at her over last week's debacle (and now the filming of looters). I mean, I'm concerned for everyone at those protests, because ACAB, but she could be targeted if recognised. Can someone please describe exactly what she posted? I don't think so. She had around 14 million prior to NFR's release, and 16.5 last time I checked. And she's gained about 700k on Twitter since NFR's release (now has 9.7m)

Idk if you're referring to me, but I feel like I can't fully elaborate on what I mean when I said "medicated" because last time I did, I got dragged for like 5 pages by people who think Lana is some otherworldly celestial being incapable of shortcomings that affect mere mortals. Suffice to say, I 100% agree that if she is physically and emotionally capable, she absolutely should be saying something right now. And that's all I'm gonna say.

Yeah, whilst I don't think Jen seems particularly attuned to "normal people's" problems, I interpreted her story as more of a ... she's scared that it's so close by, rather than a nuisance.

Like she literally changed the MAC lyrics in her last tour to "I'm fucked up, I know that, but JESUS" and then she devotes time to fighting a bunch of fans in a private IG convo because she's so offended that they wondered if she's having a midlife crisis? K Lanz. I'm not defending what they said, because she'd obviously just had enough, but the whole thing is so messy. And yes, now that Chuck and Charlie have posted, the silence is deafening. The only acceptable reason for the silence I can come up with is that she really isn't in a good place right now and is somehow incapacitated and incapable of commenting (be it because she's had her phone taken away by a friend/family member, she's medicated, or fuck knows what)

It's very difficult for her to say something when she's just spent a week doubling down over comments that many perceived to be racist. I'd like her to speak out, too, but I don't see how she can do that without people associating last week's mess with whatever she'd say about this. I don't trust her, and I feel like she'd say something really crackheaded like, "Here is a poem I wrote about pansies. It's a reminder that all lives matter, including those of plants.
