Does anyone else remember when she said this album would be a surprise drop? She hardly ever gives a release date unless it's like a week before, and then when she is doing a "surprise drop", she gives us the exact release date four months before.

Yes, but it's clear that she's aware of the underlying sentiment which was that name dropping WOC in the context she did was problematic. Instead of examining why people might think that, she's just dismissed all of it because she had "good intentions". Well guess what, Lanz ... the road to hell is paved with those.

Yeah there was nothing in that video that indicated she had taken any of the constructive criticism on board. Quite the opposite - as someone pointed out, it was almost as if she name dropped Twigs out of spite ... Let me be clear: I don't think she deserves all the hate she's getting, but I also think that this just proves that the good sis can't take criticism - even if it's constructive, which some of it is. She seems to view any and all criticism as blanket hate.

I'm not saying that anyone is obligated to comment, but it's an interesting observation that barely any other artists or friends have been supportive of Lanz's posts. The exceptions I have seen are Cat Power, Courtney, and Weyes Blood. Maybe she's getting support privately, but it really didn't sound like it in that video.

Right, so I don't think it's a coincidence that, a day after Lorde comes out of a 3-year hibernation, Lanz drops that post. Maybe she means Kim too, but Kim is pretty irrelevant whereas Lorde is not. On the day she sent the newsletter email, she trended in multiple countries all day long. I can imagine Lanz being prickly about it. She probably hears about Lorde more than she'd like because she works with Jack, too. Only Lanz knows, though.

I think it's Lorde, and I do not think it's a coincidence that she posted the og typewritten post the day after Lorde sent her newsletter (which incidentally, name dropped Jack). It generated a lot of publicity, and I think it might've triggered Lanz for reasons that aren't entirely clear. Looks blonde at the front. I don't think she's dyed her roots, and is just letting her natural colour grow in.

I do not (study body language) but I thought it might be that she was subconsciously trying to put a barrier between herself and the viewer because she felt so vulnerable.
