Lana and Emile are having an anniversary party in the studio as we speak
-
I'm really starting to think she might be working with Emile again She's hanging out with him again and we got that post of him going to work with Mike a couple months ago. In reality, I'm probably just being delusional, but I have hope. I also think it's sweet that they saw each other again the day before BTD turned 10

One of the most iconic album openings ever, those strings are absolute perfection

I'm watching all of Lana's old homemade videos for this era and they're all just so kitschy and fantastic. Those, to me, are everything the Born To Die album and era were built on and what lead to the iconic videos we got from it. My favorite homemade BTD videos are Video Games (of course), National Anthem and Million Dollar Man

This is why so many of my favorite BTD album performances are the ones that are from the last 6 years or so. She sounds so comfortable in her higher register and I love hearing her sing the songs from BTD in that space since most of them were originally recorded and performed outside of it

One of the most iconic and influential albums/eras of the 2010s This album was at the forefront of an entire aesthetic becoming popularized, and the music is still being listened to today just as regularly as it was 10 years ago. I'll be listening to Born To Die and its outtakes all day today

The typewriter post is so sweet I love the way that Lana writes, it's so personal and simple, but so beautiful at the same time. I hope she posts more things like this in future. But I'm not gonna lie, the typewriter format was kind of a jumpscare lol.

Lana's been posting a lot of poetry lately. I wonder if she's been writing more poems (I hope so, I love Violet and I'm really looking forward to Behind The Iron Gates)

Born to Die - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll

I can't believe the 10-year anniversary is already tomorrow. I remember listening to Video Games nonstop in 2012 and always having Summertime Sadness stuck in my head. I still don't know why it took me so long to actually start fully listening to Lana outside of that It's crazy that it's already been a decade -
I've always thought the K relationship might have been one of, if not her first, serious relationships that she had in her life which is why it was so impactful. I honestly don't think the K mystery is ever gonna be solved and I'm okay with that for the sake of Lana's privacy. But it's interesting how prevalent he's been in her music since 2005/6

It's someone else's. I found this online when I looked up the poem, but I can't find a clear name on who wrote it https://www.storypeople.com/products/different-plans-prints?variant=31224775278703

Lana Del Rey x Nikki Lane 1 - Pre-Pre-Release Thread

I think it's technically called Drive By, but I always call it For K Pt. 1 because it's kind of nostalgic for me lol. I never thought about Pretty Baby being the real For K Pt. 1 though, that's really interesting -

My Momma, Next To Me, Pretty Baby and For K Pt. 1 are quite twangy/country to me I could probably say that about every song on Sirens though -

Lana's always had somewhat of a country influence on her music. I think it's most prevalent on Chemtrails and her Lizzy-era work. I'd argue that her acoustic demos like Your Band Is All The Rage, You're Gonna Love Me, All Smiles, etc. as well as Queen Of The Gas Station are her most country-esque songs. I'd even say Super Movie is pretty country inspired. Exploring country music isn't new for Lana at all. Of course it's not everyone's taste, but I'm glad to see her exploring this interest of hers -

I knew that when Lana said she wanted to do country, she didn't mean "yeehaw beer in my pick-up truck with my dog and some random blonde women" country, she meant classic country. Like Happiest Girl In The Whole U.S.A or End of The World, which are both songs she covered in the Lizzy days I have a feeling that if this project is ever released, it'll turn out really well- 494 replies

I really like this. If this is the direction Lana would be going down for a country project, I'm here for it

If it's true, it had to have been for Change. I can't think of any other song besides When The World Was At War that would've fit that type of video, and as far as I know, she never openly discussed any plans for that song to have a video. It would make sense if it was shut down not only because of the nuclear imagery, but also because of her not wanting to use the video for recruitment.

Lana's Sassy Replies (Appreciation Thread)
Super Movie replied to lflflflflflflflflflf's topic in Lana Thoughts
My personal favorites are "thank you and fuck off" and "let me fucking do what I'm fucking doing, which is signing stuff". Also, while I know everyone loves "you little fuckers" and I do too, I love the "better be" after someone told her the leak was taken down
