My thing with BTD is that while I do consider it to be her messiest, I literally can't see it being placed in any other way. It's honestly kind of iconic regardless of how I might see it

I honestly consider BTD to have her strangest tracklisting. I mean, DMD after Video Games was a choice. And on top of that, there's also putting Radio in between Dark Paradise and Carmen. Honestly, her albums with the best tracklisting in my opinion are Chemtrails and AKA (except for Brite Lites right after Pawn Shop Blues lol)

I think that Lana has something really special up her sleeve for this next album, whenever it may be released. Another thing I'm looking forward to is seeing the location this album is inspired by/representative of. Here's how I see each of her albums/projects so far: AKA - Newark, New Jersey Born To Die - New York City Paradise - L.A, California Ultraviolence - Brooklyn, New York Honeymoon - Venice, Italy Lust for Life - L.A, California NFR - Laurel Canyon, California Chemtrails - Tulsa, Oklahoma Blue Banisters - Arcadia () / L.A, California

I think so, but she still had some limitations (her label wanted her to do HBTB because they wanted a “radio hit”). Especially compared to a lot of artists right now, she has a lot of creative control, and I don’t think that’s something she takes for granted at all

I think that's what she means too. Having creative control over her work is something I've noticed is really important to Lana, so I can see why those moments are something that stand out to her. For me it also adds a lot more to the rawness and personality of BB if she did help with some of the production on it

Lana did an interview with Variety because of this Hoping we get to see more of what she said during this (if she said anything else) https://variety.com/2021/music/entertainers/lana-del-rey-ultraviolence-born-to-die-blue-banisters-1235123179/ “But to be honest — and this is the takeaway — my proudest achievement is continuing to uphold my personal truth in a time when truth is often questioned and rarely valued.”

This album 100% has some of her best songs to date (to me those are Chemtrails, White Dress, Yosemite and DBJAG). It's also by far her most cohesive album in my opinion. Chemtrails is like a snapshot of Lana's life on the NFR tour and early 2020. You can really hear those Joan Baez influences throughout it, and you can definitely tell a lot of it was done while in the Midwest (which, as a midwestern girl myself, I take pride in). I mentioned this in a status update, but the "it's beautiful how this deep normality settles down over me" lyric is what I would consider to be the mission statement for this album. It's just such a beautiful body of work that I'm so happy to see getting a little extra love today

Strangest Rumor You've Heard About A Celebrity
Super Movie replied to TheParadiseEdition's topic in Entertainment
This one is about Lana, but the rumor that she hooked up with Mark Zuckerberg. Also, just generally, the never-ending rumors on which women had plastic surgery and which ones didn't. I personally couldn't care less. -
No because I actually feel so bad about not liking DP because I want to so bad. Lyrically, it's right up my alley. But something about the production just makes it not click for me and I don't even know why (although that intro?? amazing). I have actually been warming up to the first demo lately though.

One of my favorite Marina songs ever. The writing, her vocal delivery and the production are all genius. I consider it to be one of the most quintessential songs on Electra Heart.

Blue Banisters - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
Super Movie replied to Elle's topic in Post-Release Threads
Even when I started getting into Lana at the start of 2017, I saw so much hate for it and I could never understand why It honestly wasn't until last year that I started seeing what I call the Honeymoon Revolution. This kind of goes into Honeymoon, but for some reason my brain finds Sirens, Honeymoon, Chemtrails and Blue Banisters all to be very connected. I think it's because I find (most) of the songs on them all to be quite introspective -
