Lana songs you can’t listen to anymore and why?
Super Movie replied to Doll Harlow's topic in Lana Thoughts
Hope is a Dangerous Thing 100%. I really have to be in the mood for that song to listen to it, it's gut-wrenchingly beautiful and makes me quite emotional Edit: I can't believe I forgot my biggest one - How To Disappear. I once said something super cringey to a friend while we were listening to that song, and now every time I hear it, my skin crawls because I think of that embarrassing moment.- 183 replies

Not to talk down on them at all because I think they're very talented in their own right, but I think it's super interesting that the artists Lana has inspired are also being honored. It really shows how influential her music is to newer artists even in small ways. We've gotten to a point almost 10 years after BTD where we can now see the fruits of Lana's labor. She is just such an incredible artist and I am so happy over this

Minor General Questions that Don't Deserve Their Own Thread
Super Movie replied to Monicker's topic in Lana Thoughts
In the past she's mentioned songs like TV in Black & White, Hollywood's Dead, Trash Magic, On Our Way and Hollywood while talking about a possible unreleased album, but I'm pretty sure the only one she ever actually said straight up that she wanted to release was Hollywood. This is the most prominate example of when she talks about it, but she also mentioned the 25 track unreleased album at a listening party for LFL -

Same here. It would be the perfect Christmas song for her to cover. And just from that little video we got of her singing it, her voice suits it really well -

Remember when lustforlife said that Chuck did vocals on Sweet Carolina? And that Black Bathing Suit was "an invite"? I honestly don't even remember if the Sc one was true or not -
Blue Banisters - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
Super Movie replied to Elle's topic in Post-Release Threads
Usually the fake insider phase ends after pre-release does, but I guess Blue Banisters is so special that she still has people lying about her after the fact. Legends only -
I'd love to see her recording process for every era, from AKA to now. And I'd like to see some interview clips we do have from that same time span, like the Kill Kill interview or even the Williamsburg interview from 2006. I also think that including some old performances we haven't seen yet would be cool. Of her shows that we have seen, HQ footage of shows like Vicar Street (and the iconic Video Games performance from that show), the Hollywood Bowl in 2019 and some of her early shows from 2011. Any footage of her life/herself from as early as her childhood to as late as today that she wanted to share would be cool too.

Born to Die - Post-Release Discussion Thread + Poll
Super Movie replied to Beautiful Loser's topic in Post-Release Threads
I've been getting super into Born To Die lately. It's such a great record, and it produced some absolute classics. To this day, I think that Off to the Races and Video Games are two of the best songs Lana's ever made and most definitely some of the best songs of the 21st century. It's such a glamorous record and it does a fantastic job of mixing the aesthetics with reality. Even most of the unreleased tracks on the album are incredible too. I'm not one for re-releasing unreleased songs, but an extended version of BTD with songs like On Our Way, Us Against The World, Paradise, etc. would be so cool (or even Because of You, but I don't see her ever touching that one again lol). -

LANALYSIS: Relating Songs To Known/Assumed Relationships
Super Movie replied to Sitar's topic in Lana Thoughts
I've always thought that K was kind of a mix of attributes of different guys, or that the drive by/jail references were a metaphor, which could make people like Josh Kemp or Rob more likely to be K if he never actually went to prison or was put on death row
