  6. As far as I know people do have this, it just hasn't been shared. As a fan of Lana, Nirvana, and the live version of this cover, the studio version is one of those tracks I've always wanted to hear
  7. One thing I don't think I can ever say is that BB pre-release was boring because wow...no matter how I feel about certain users, I'm not gonna lie and say they didn't give us a performance
  8. I love the way that our resident troll straight up avoids anyone mentioning them being a fake insider and instead goes right to insults. If you can ramble on (& on & on) about this stuff, we can comment on it. This is a public forum. Anyways! It's gonna snow here on Friday and I'm so excited to listen to BB when that happens. I think that this is the perfect album for fall/winter. I've said this before, but I just cannot get over how perfect the release date for this album was.
  9. Paradise isn't my favorite Lana project, but I think that it's a great one nonetheless. She's one of those people I genuinely don't think has a weak project. I find it to be one of her most cohesive works, and it includes what I consider some of her best songs (Ride, Gods & Monsters, Bel Air). The visuals of this project are also stunning. From Ride to Tropico even to the tour's aesthetics, all of it is beautiful

    Mitski

I love The Only Heartbreaker and I am so excited for Laurel Hell. All of the titles are really intriguing, but as of right now I'm claiming Valentine, Texas, Should've Been Me and Stay Soft. It's funny because when Mitski released Working For The Knife I was going to see my therapist, and now today I'm going to see my psychiatrist the same day she released The Only Heartbreaker. She gets it

  13. You provoked the lurkers But anyways, for me, I'm finding a lot of these songs getting better with age. I've grown more accustomed to the only piano version of Beautiful, although I definitely prefer the string version. I think my favorite part of that song is actually the intro with that trickling piano. Right now my most streamed songs are IYLDWM (I'm a sucker for those horns), Black Bathing Suit and Dealer. I think that might be my top three right now, not in order.

  15. The reason I started fully listening to Lana outside of just Video Games was because of a member of a girl group that liked her
  16. If you are, then I am for not liking Cherry Blossom (although I actually do love Nectar lol) Edit: okay, I won't say I don't like it because I do, but I think it should've stayed unreleased. We didn't need it and I honestly have never gotten the full hype for that song
  17. This album was made for vinyl. I'm listening to my copy right now and it just sounds so much better than it does when I listen off my phone or laptop. I wonder if Lana had ever considered releasing the album physically before it was released and pulled from iTunes (most likely not, but still a fun thought to entertain).
  18. The Three Musketeers - QOTGS edition I've been super into AKA lately as well and all the mysteries that surround it
  19. I see it being like a mixture of the demo and the final, with a hint of the country-twang in Lana's voice that she used to do in the live version. Like the love child of those three versions
  20. I don't think she's rerecorded it, but I think she's listened to it on her own more than we might think, especially in the past year or so. I'm still not over that random Pawn Shop Blues video.
  21. Text Book 17 Blue Banisters 15 Arcadia 7 The Trio - Interlude 9 Black Bathing Suit 21 If You Lie Down With Me 21 Beautiful 6 Violets for Roses 13 Dealer 14 Thunder 17 Wildflower Wildfire 22 Nectar of the Gods 23 Living Legend 15 Cherry Blossom 7 Sweet Carolina 17
  22. Cherry Blossom needed strings. It's my least favorite on the album because I honestly find it a bit dull production wise (however, it's one of my favorite vocal performances on the album). I think that if she'd added some strings to it around the second chorus, or even when the bridge kicks in, I would've loved it so much more.
  23. This thread just proves that people speaking on issues that don't affect them on behalf of the people it does affect never ends well
  24. The whole era is kind of messy when it comes to pinning down which songs are outtakes and which songs were just made around that time, especially since there were side projects like The Rich Whores. The only ones we can really know 100% are the ones that were confirmed by David himself or confirmed to be produced by him (or Steve Mertens, except for When I'm With You, I'd consider anything he did with Lana to be an AKA outtake since he was the original producer).
  25. I know that Ben and Axl were since we have confirmation that there are David Kahne versions of them. I had thought there was a David version of Jimmy Gnecco as well, but I could be wrong on that. Most of our AKA "outtakes" come from the fact that we have songs like Disco that were made around the same time as other songs on the album, and in Disco's case, performed with other songs that ended up on AKA. Get Drunk is technically an AKA outtake as well because it was on No Kung Fu, and that was essentially a demo tape for AKA.
