Absolutely. I love the studio version, but MDM was made to be a full-blown jazz song. The live version with just Lana and the piano is that song at it's best. I can even see some light horns on the song elevating that version even more.

Dark Paradise could've been so much better. I almost think that Lana was always trying to make it too fun in a sense, even though I think that that song would've been fantastic if the whole thing sounded like the beginning/first verse of the final.

I can't even imagine Kurt singing a song like Flipside. Nirvana has such a distinct lyrical and musical style, and I don't think it matches Lana/Flipside at all. The only part of that song that sounds similar to Nirvana is the guitar, which I do think is inspired by the 90s west coast sound

I love the original outro too, but I thank god every day that she left the bridge as it was. It's one of her best. The main issue I have with the song is the fact that even in the changed pre-chorus, it still ends with the echo of "fame" from the demo It goes "it was just that good fame fame fame...".
