I'm so exciteed for this omg that's my birthday month. I loved ultraviolnce but I hope this album is a bit different from it. With a new theme (hopefully a positive theme.) I love every song from ultra with a passion but i felt like it was a way for her to express herself and her feelings at the time and I wouldnt know for sure but I think lana has gotten happier lately and back to her independent self. Hopefully the new album will reflect that. And tbh I really just crave lanas bad ass- freedom obsessed side again.

I got front row dead center too and I didn't get a selfie with her cause she turned around to go back on stage after meeting only 2 people to the right of me . I had the most amazing experience I did not expect to get front row I got really good pictures and videos! I posted them on Instagram follow me at jennaydelrey . Also at the very end before she left the stage she leaned over the stage and talked to me and the guy next to me a bit and blew me a kiss and I got on the big screen my boyfriend said he saw lana talking to Me on it !!

^ there is 2 different pits for this show 100% for sure. Also I feel like 2 lines would be more chaotic when it's time to get in the concert. I like the idea of one line better :/

I feel kinda bad for the people who over payed to get "front row" seats (not the pit) when I'm sure a lot of them probably don't know they aren't going to be anywhere near front row or the stage cause of the pit. Cause there wasn't a pit on the map or anything so Ite not like you'd have any idea unless you researched. so I'm imagining their reactions (as evil as if is) being far from the stage because a huge pit of standing people are in the way .. Yikes

guys im so excited for honeymoon. Any predictions on what it will be like? I'm surprised she announced it so suddenly! . I feel like songs similar to driving in cars w boys will be in the album but I don't think the actually song will be in it. My prediction is that it will have a strong 50s vibe to it

I pray for something really jazzy. I hope there will be a song in 6/8 like Million Dollar Man and Shades Of Cool

Goodness I feel so bad for the person posting a speed-up version of DICWB and still thinking this is MTWBT. Some of you are really something else.

Anyways, I am really excited to listen to her version of Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood. It's impossible to match Nina's version, because of her delivery which is outstanding. It's one of my favourite songs of all time. It's way harder to do it justice than The Other Woman. Suprised she didn't chose Be My Husband which would have suited her well and the title Honeymoon, but maybe it's too close to home.

So many people forget about Nina's music and don't give her the credit she deserves. It's sad.

because someone labelled it as MTWBT means that it HAS to be it...of course nobody ever lies on the internet

How are we going to listen to MTWBT if we dont FUCKING HAVE IT

unless you're one of those hoarders with a high ego because they have exclusive stuff, no one knows what you are talking about

In the words of Lana Del Rey: Trust no one.
Especially people who upload random stuff on youtube just to get views

    there's a vancouver show?

and @ my show last year you were allowed phones and digital cameras but someone was told to put their ipad away.
But phones are probably fine. If anything you could sneak it in your sleeve or chest or something

I accidentally posted this in the wrong forum but
for this upcoming show in Vancouver there is no cameras or video recording allowed (says on the tickets.) is anyone going to follow this rule? I feel like it is absolutely absurd to try and prevent that because I went to the wamu show and every single person had there phone out and was video taping her.

I don't know what I want for her next album. Born To Die will always be my favorite, but recently I have started to appreciate the hell out of Ultraviolence. If she can top them both then I'll die, I trust her judgement and support her need to explore her sound. She really can do no wrong in the album department, it just works for me either way. If I like it on the spot then great, if I need to warm up to certain songs then so be it. I'll end up loving it anyway.
But I still think Hollywood needs to get out there, it gives me life. Just throwing it out there

Look on the bright side, at least she didn't spend a year talking about it as if it were the second coming of god like some other artists have done in the past. Like Lady Gaga for example, talking about Born This Way as if it was going to revolutionize music and we all saw how that went.

I don't know why she skimped on promoting it or making videos, but my theory (on the videos at least) is that she probably wasn't given a huge financial push by the label. They weren't excited about her releasing it in the first place; it's a big contrast to her previous work in terms of being accessible. They clearly gave her a huge budget to work with circa Born To Die - visually stunning videos, promotion all over the world... hell, maybe they even chipped some cash in for Tropico (maybe she made that with her own money idk). But clearly there was a lack of support by the label and I've seen this many times when pop artists try to take a risk with their music. And promotional budgets include everything from music videos, to internet ads, to street promotion, to radio deals, interviews, blah blah blah. Lots of behind the scenes stuff.  The label's like - "fine, we'll release it, but we're going to give you a bare-bones budget to promote it, because we feel you didn't give us a top 40 single and we're not sure you're worth a big investment at this point in time." Maybe I'm wrong, idk, but that's what I'm thinking.

Add Lana's reluctance to even promote in the first place and there you go. She was probably exhausted from touring for so long and she wanted to take a break. Smart if you ask me. Good artists burn out fast when they succumb to being slaves for record labels. Again, something we see very often. I'm glad she gave us an incredible album at the end of the day - it could have gone so many places visually, but there's always album #3 (#4 if you count Paradise which I do).

The fact that you and others are complaining about Lana on her own fan site is hilarious. Exactly she's not perfect, and you can criticize her sure, you have that right. But its the fact that here you are.. Complaining and expressing your anger towards her on this website dedicated to her and obviously you aren't supporting her. Like I said in another comment, i didn't question her decisions because I don't have all these stupid little requirements that had to be met. She's simply my idol and if she was going through a rough time then I'm going to be supportive and not get too upset and add on to the critics who already criticize every move she makes. Honestly during this time period I was more worried about how she was talking like she was suicidal, I wasn't focused on how she didn't do enough with her album. Just my natural instinct to stick up for her because she was going through a rough time.

If anything the internet era enables musicians to do what the hell ever they want. There aren't patterns and rules you have to play by or you're forgotten. Okay, maybe for the conventional pop stars, but Lana is quite unconventional.
