From the title I thought it would be about like the literal end of life (specially from the lyrics in the trailer about bombs and stuff--guess that's another song?) but maybe it's about traveling and going to the "end" of the earth? Makes more sense being that it's on Love and not Fear, but any guess is fair at this point.

All Love songs now have timestamps. https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/love-fear/1451645560?app=music&ign-mpt=uo%3D4 (Not to assume too much but this also happened to each single prior to us knowing it would be released...)

I think she loves this song so much because she has the personal connection to the Greek island she's singing about. Unfortunately for her, fans just don't really have that perspective, so we have to relate to the ideas of positivity, happiness, and love (which, some of y'all bouta be real mad at me, you depressive folk can't relate to) and those are far more bland topics than what we're use to her writing about. The production of EH was of equal quality; Marina was just writing from a more unique perspective we don't hear in pop. Truly think that Fear will be the more praised side of the album, at least lyrically.

Turns out Görres produced both Plum and Orange Trees

Check the OrangeTrees hashtag on twitter. There's a pico link. The "OoOoRange" sounds a bit random in context, and the chorus also feels like slightly out of place? Overall I like it, but I'm sure it grow on me more when I'm listening to it outside in the sun. 6.5/10 right now, though.

The website doesn't say anything about unlocking the song, just the video, so it makes me think that it is being released at midnight in each country. However, since this seems to have a bit more planning, it might be a worldwide release. Guess we'll see in a few hours.

Yeah, it's dead rn. (Edit: nvm it's up for me) She looks stunning lying on the beach in that orange outfit This is going to be THE song for spring

The fact that Lana isn't doing Woodstock 50... Not surprised, just disappointed. -
We got the track length for Superstar and then Marina began teasing it. Same is happening with OT, so it's basically confirmed. Worst case scenario it's next week, but regardless those accounts are making fair assumptions

The LfL cover without the borders looked odd. She should've had to have chosen another picture altogether to not have the tan border, in my opinion, and I personally really like the photo she chose (at least it's miles better than Honeymoon's.) -
https://twitter.com/benfletcher/status/1107022992708521984?s=19 Enjoy Your Life is confirmed to be a bop and End of the Earth & Karma are also standouts to Marina's guitarist. I cannot contain my excitement

https://vmagazine.com/article/heroes-marina/ Orange Trees is described as "seductive." I was about to complain about it being another love song but then I remembered the whole point of this record is that half of the songs are about love lmao

Four years of FROOT today. I remember I was going into town the day it leaked, and I was listening to the singles thinking, "You know, I don't need this to leak, I can wait until April." And then on the ride back home a few hours later I was listening to the full album leak lmao. What a messy release, but it seems somehow fitting. Definitely my favorite Marina album.
-
Not sure what I was expecting for TNWY but that chorus is definitely not it lol Still excited to hear it in full at some point though
-
I still feel like Superstar is just a promo single. The late March/early April single that I presume will get is probably what this video is for.

This album better come with a girl's night out anthem at this point -
She's made it clear that we're getting new music because of the literal opposite of this. 2016-17 was when she didn't have much inspiration for music and why she pursued other things. Whatever you're disliking about any new material isn't coming from a lack of drive from her. I definitely sense something different about her music, but I'm still enjoying it as much as any other project. Maybe I'm just too much of a stan to have a different perspective

I think they're being rude about how they talk about it, but I don't think it's fair to say that she shouldn't be criticized because she's young. We can say that hopefully she'll get better, but for now, which is when she's making the music/performing, she has the voice that she does.
-
The problem with a contemporary pop album is that it's just that--contemporary. EH and other albums that could be seen as dated still sound great to me, though. She keeps saying this is her best album, and she hasn't given me a reason to not trust her. I'm not going to judge too harshly until April 26. Also, I totally see how Baby fits within this record now. My only criticism is that Marina's head voice (or whatever the term is for how she sings in Superstar) isn't my favorite style for her.

She was right about this album feeling fresh. This will definitely grow on me more, but I already like it. (If you're looking for it, Twitter is your best friend)

Hopefully it's being released in NZ at 12 because I need this song to get me through tomorrow

On a positive note, I really love seeing her so happy with her friends. I've always hated hearing people call her depressing and mopey, so I can't complain when she's out there enjoying her life. I know it's helping her make great music. -
