  1. Although I've never felt Lana's put up a front (her music has always felt authentic) this feels extra Lana. I love that she's embracing everything about the sound and over-the-top-Americana image she's created. So excited (to hear the final version of the BAR bridge) for this album.
  2. It's been said before but it bares reminding: INHA deserved to be the closing of Froot. It fits perfectly with the state of mind she was in, and it would've been a perfect last song before her hiatus. With a cleaner production, it would be one of her best ever
  3. My interpretation of Cherry is that the lead vocals/lyrics are from the honeymoon-phase of love and the swearing in the background is the annoyance/dislike-of-love that comes with it + when you fall out of love (sometimes rather quickly). It's like she was falling in love, and she was annoyed at herself for doing so and at the guy for making her feel that way (specially since maybe she didn't 'want' to fall in love.)
  4. To be fair, every time a Lana tracklist has leaked people have made fun of the titles thinking they're fake.
  5. There are few songs that I feel as passionate about as I do Froot. Truly a career highlight
  6. Does she though? She spent like a good two minutes talking and taking pics with him and his groupies at my show, and she seems to always give them attention whenever they're around. They'd stop going so much if she stopped acknowledging them.
  7. https://instagram.com/tommarshmusic?igshid=133i8xnk1f4tp On his story Tom has shared that festival rehearsals are starting. The stage looks not very different, if not the exact same, from LA to the Moon so that's...not surprising
  8. One of my favorite threads on here was "Best Moments" in Lana's music, and I was wondering what your guys' are for Marina? Some of mine are: When the "Oh"s in Bubblegum B**** pan between left and right; the breathy background vocals in the chorus of Enjoy Your Life; How she sings "For your loo-aa-oo-vee" in Froot's bridge; the intro synth or whatever to Girls; the birds in the Teen Idle instrumental.
  9. "So the title track is called "'Norman Fucking Rockwell'" and it's kind of about this guy who is such a genius artist but he thinks he’s the shit and he knows it and he like won't shut up talking about it." We've heard like 80% of HIAB, and it doesn't fit her description. I know she's unreliable, but BAR/Architecture is the type of vibe I expect from NFR. HIAB is a lot more about her than the guy.
  10. West Coast Black Beauty Shades of Cool Can't believe I live in the same state this was produced in Nashville is sacred ground simply for this.
  11. I'll always want the best for her, which is why I've struggled to not critique her current lifestyle. I think for so long she wanted a stable, normal life (per the first verse of Hope Is A Dangerous Thing) and how she has it. That's why she hangs out with upper middle class white girls, because it's the type of people her upbringing was suppose to lead her to, but she strayed from it and ended up around the wrong crowd. It's easy for me to say that her new friends seem disingenuous or she should move back to London or something, but this is the life she wants to live it seems. The music was always an art project to her that got bigger than she could ever imagine. I can't blame her for wanting to step back from it. My life is changing at the same time that my favorite artists are changing how they handle their fame, so maybe it's a sign that I need to step back from being so into fandom culture. Not sure what that entails for me exactly, but it feels fitting that I begin to move on from being a fanboy soon

What is this exactly? I remember there was another version of Bang Bang used in a commercial but did we ever get it?
  14. The blue eyeshadow + the dark hair is a serve And of course they only mention the poetry book lmao At least it's suppose to come around the same time as NFR but still

    September 6? BYEEEE LMAO
  16. I'm glad we're not all blind followers of her and can see her faults. Anyway, here's the cover for NFR I made. Neil's hazzy wave effects fits really nicely with MAR and VB and her pose just screams "reflective sad girl" which seems to be the vibe of the record.
  17. It's just frustrating that she won't say anything about it. We bombarded Marina with annoying album questions for two years questions, but she had decency to be like "don't know when I'll release again" to "still writing" or "coming next year." We just need a freaking comment, if not from her then from the label.
  18. I was hoping to hear her do the "take a t-t-t-tip from me" part :/ The "evil" part is magnificent at least
  19. The original has become one of my favorite things of this year, so by default this was going to be good. Her voice suits this so well. The chorus is legendary. Ugh, THE 2019 summer bop
  20. Now that I've gotten a chance to see (on Youtube, so I'm sure I'll enjoy it more in person) of this tour's set: Her vocals are amazing but everything else feels a bit hollow. I had the same problem with Ariana's latest stage--something about the all white and overall set up feels too empty. Especially when you compare it to the big LEDs of Neon Nature. It looks like a high school production. I have the same opinion about the dancers as I do Lana. I don't hate them, but they don't really add anything more than her band did. Also, the guy is bigger than everybody else, and it throws off the symmetry. More lighting, not just the background projection, would be nice.
  21. Deezer was the first to upload snippets too. Although who posts them first seems to change between eras since I remember UV was a random eastern European store and HM didn't have any posted.
  22. If it is a cover, I can actually see her singing it. I'm sure it'll be a bit slower, but the intro sounds like something Lizzy would sing (replace "Bradley's on the microphone with Ras M.G" with references to Ray or Bill or something and it's just up her melodic alley.)
  23. I need to see more but she's serving High School production with her stage set up :/
