  1. Didn't they spend most of their time in NY, though? I only remember them either being Europe or NYC. Seems like she and Barrie were central to California, though. Still, I totally see where you're coming from.

My top three are Lunchbox Friends, Teachers' Pet, and Nurse's Office. Although it's a cohesive and respectable piece of work, I don't think it was worth delaying it two years for a movie. None of the songs are standouts like those on Cry Baby, and I don't foresee the movie being so incredible that it'll make up for it. The movie sounds (I assume they're from the scenes) in it also get annoying even after multiple listens. Overall a 6.5/10 for me. Hopefully her next album comes a lot quicker.
  3. Anyone else in the south (I'm in TN) that ordered a physical CD have theirs stuck at a Michigan facility? It's been stuck at label created/waiting for USPS to receive it since early 8/29. Every aspect of her team is awful
  4. Sirens: A Star For Nick - there's something so haunting about her being so sure that she would make it. It's inspirational. AKA: Pawn Shop Blues: I'm poor lol BTD: Radio - as an immigrant that's doing the best he can, it's been really sweet to see my life slowly shape up to what I want it to be. P: Burning Desire - I'm a wh*re UV: West Coast - first song I was around to see an era quick of with. The atmosphere she creates is unlike anything I'd ever experienced with music. HM: Religion - reminds me of someone. LfL: God Bless America - the beautiful melodies she sings of are my favorite singers. I also feel akin to the feeling of loving America for its good. NFR: (as of now) Happiness Is a Butterfly - sums up the highs and lows of my life.
  5. She should shrink the Endless Summer set and have a tiny LA at her feet
  6. Since we keep wondering if she topped UV, I figured I'd see which songs I preferred (this is based on enjoyment, not which song I think is objectively a better song). This was tougher than I expected, so my verdict is that she has once again outdone herself.
  7. Okay but the people are commenting about the song on his comments Guess he brought up himself by tagging her but still
  8. Lana truly is a mess of a person, which I think is why I love her so much. Also not that Moby thing being completely true
  9. I just realized that BAR's bridge is the same vocals as the demo's. It's one of my favorite bridges ever, so this isn't a complaint. Hilarious that she just slapped slapped a new chorus onto the song as a middle finger to us.
  10. In a little over a week it'll be the first time we heard of MAC and VB. It really took this long for us to finally hear the project The war is really over. My ranking:
  11. Have y'all ever actually downloaded a leak? If you don't have ad blocker it's always a freaking mindfield to get the link, if you even get to the right website in the first place. Anyone that is not a Stan would never take the amount of time we take to get it. Leaks the week of release never hurt and artist. If they did, Lana wouldn't have a career. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
  12. Probably again during Annie Mac's Radio 1 Future Sounds segment, 2 pm EST.
  13. I would say she should have fans turn in designs for her, but every time artists do that, they still manage to pick the ugliest things It's a lose-lose either way.
  14. Where can I find HQ pics of the LA coast with the oil rigs? I love the industrial aesthetic of the video and want to add the northern lights for a desktop background.
  15. It feels full circle that the era started with a phone recording of HIAB and ends with a phone recording of the entire thing My ranking so far:
  16. Some of y'all bouta be real mad at me but I just...can't feel bad. Please tell me another artist that has this many leaks and problems with their eras? I feel bad that the untouchable 5 leaked, that BAR and Love leaked, etc., but not that there is some problem with her release-team. Even Marina acknowledged that Froot leaked because of her/her team's mistakes--this is the same situation. You can't prevent a leak like the day before, but it it ridiculous to pretend that this is the complete fault of a crazed fan.
  17. (Y'all need to become better internet sleuths; it's in the places you think it'd be) I don't know about "best" but this is hands down her most cohesive and organic piece of work so far
  18. Can't for Ben or Ed to comment on Instagram something passive aggressive to downplay their inability to do anything competent for Lana
  19. I feel like three out of the songs we have contain a little second where the mixing or production feels a little bit off. With Hope it was Lana's panning vocals in the second verse, with FIILY when the beat drops for the second pre-chorus the instrumental sounds a bit mashed together, and TG also has some slightly odd vocal stuff. All small moments but I noticed them on first listen, and I can't stop thinking about them Anyone else notice or is an ~artistic~ choice flying over my head.
  20. Pardon my innocent mind, but what is shooting up neon referring to? Is she just saying that she loves California and its neon so much?
  21. The fact that we live through the prime of so many greats Lana is going down as one of the most influential singer-songwriters of the 2000s and we get to live through the mess greatness of it all.

I'm sure this has been said before, but... these all really do sound the same. Hopefully in the context of the album it just means it's really cohesive, but for now the only that actually stands out is Lunchbox Friends.
  23. Finally my Google Play Music subscription prevails The melody reminds me of My Best Days and the guitars of of Never Let Me Go.
