At the time we didn't know it was a demo, though, so the intent was to share official, leaking material. That be like murdering someone that we later find out was a bad person or something, at the time you still just murdered someone. I realize the analogy sounds dramatic since we're talking about the rules to a music forum but hopefully you get my point lol (also I obviously don't have anything against them being unbanned, just talking about things objectively)

The accuracy of this I really like the concept of ROM but the beat just doesn't hook me. The last chorus is pretty good though

I'm legitimately confused as to why some of you are taken aback by any of this behavior. She's literally always been a fiery person on social media against those that she doesn't like ("it's coming you little bitch" "GO F**K YOURSELF" etc). I would also be pissed off at fans that were 1)including me in their private* convos 2)saying things about my mental health whenever I'm clearing just voicing my opinion (just because someone is less reserved than usual doesn't mean something is "wrong.") This is just the Kayne comment except she worded things less eloquently. Clearly she's always had harsh commentary about how people perceive her (FMWUTTT, MPG, Sad Girl, etc.), except for once she said it without any irony or metaphors. *private as in these accounts discuss things or post comments about her as if she'll never see them even though she clearly lurks their accounts. Even if the mental health comment was directed towards her, it still seems really odd to think that she has suddenly snapped or something.

I think it's just strange since we have seen Patty and Lana together seemingly happy, so it always felt like she was a nice part of Lana's life--just not in the limelight like Rob. But this definitely does feel like a blatant swipe at Patty, yikes.

I never realized Ben (Marina's guitarist since Froot) was Jess' husband and father to their children. That just adds onto the layers of f'ed up that this is. Jess replied to a fan saying that ti's not about "any one artist", so it's definitely about Marina then lmao

I truly don't understand what those other reasons she mentions would be coming from Marina. Isn't this the manager that prompted her to think of something creative like Froot of the Month? What could have prompted her to fire her (assuming that she did--although it seems likely with David saying she manages her)? I really hope Marina responds to this in some manner. Jess makes the move seems callous, which is disheartening to hear.

Is there a detailed timeline for Lana's hair transformation in 2010-11? I feel like one second she was medium length blonde and then at some point she went auburn and her hair was suddenly long and fuller.

How far down did 5SOS album drop from last week? I'm only seeing Dua's position and people mocking them but not their actual position

Her voice and the way its mixed always just...throws me off. The new songs are on par with the rest of the album

The way I interpreted her response to "writing alone" was that she was doing so because of the quarantine and that she wasn't facetiming people as the comment was wondering. From the studio pics and videos we've seen, it seems that it was a pretty collaborative effort as she first set out to make it. I do think her solo-work (at least writing wise) is her best, but I don't mind her working with a ton of people as long as she cooks up something new and interesting. I think it's best to not assume it'll be completely solo / only with one producer like Froot.

Any updates on the merch that shipped (and possibly included vinyls)?

I had already seen Troye once, but once it was announced Dua was opening for him, I went specifically for her. I honestly can't even remember her setlist, but in that moment I knew she was the next it girl. What a night

Anyone think Lizzy was inspired by Britney quite a bit? I've always thought some songs ("She's Not Me") give me Britney vibes, and today I was listening to "Early Mornin'" when I realized the breakdown is very Lizzy "I'll light your fire, your one desire / Pull on me, baby, and I'll take you higher (I wanna get with you)". People seem to think that "Put Your Lips Together" is reference to a 1944 film that Britney also got the line from for the bridge of "Breathe On Me", but isn't more likely that Lana got it from Britney? I know Britney's a bit more pop than Lana seems to have been into in her early years, but I think it's really possible that as she was trying to make a more upbeat pop sound in 2010 that she was taking a bit of influence from some of Britney's work. A random theory, but I've never really seen this comparison before.

I will not rest until we get the 7+ minute Froot demo

It seemed that she was more so emotional about the virus situation, actually. Especially since people she knows have gotten it. But also, why couldn't she cry over it? She's been planning something for months, and this situation is causing it all to change. Of course she's aware of the gravity of the situation, but we can't fault her emotions over something so personal to her (even if its a minor thing in context of what's happening.) Everyone has cried or been really emotional about cancelled plans. I hope she's able to tour the US next spring because I need to hear these songs live with her.
