  1. they each have their own interesting styles but nope. to expand- say what you want about UV and HM's lyrics, but it's undeniable that the instrumentals are beautiful and interesting in their own rights and idk whether i'd say the same for some of jackoff's.
  2. It's the title track for his first and last album, he was working on another when he either drowned accidentally or killed himself (body never found), it's between life on mars which she references and chelsea hotel no.2 which she covers, so between the prominence given to it, the lyrics to grace and the lyrics to the greatest i'm nervous agreed
  3. Where was NFR on the pre-order chart in the week after it came out? It makes sense it'll slip down the chart when most people have already preordered it. Anyway seeing Jeff Buckley's Grace on the jukebox is making me nervous
  4. Imo honeymoon is the most personal an album can get. She's spilled her guts more on NFR in terms of lyrics closer to details but honeymoon seems to be everything she wanted to make at the time to get stuff off her chest in an artistic way, which is why there aren't really any gutsy guitar solos. Poetry interludes aren't really commercial or anything, and might not mean much to the average listener, so unless we get another honeymoon-esque album, aka another vanity album done for her and her alone, we might not get another unfortunately (unless she starts including violet bent backwards interludes on the next ones)
  5. Yeah it could be like when rich students go on a rebellious streak and act like they're self-made when their parents still pay their rent and send them money for food but because they buy their dumb rollie cigarettes with their leftover coke money they insist they're independent
  6. I don't know which story you're talking about but it does seem odd to me that both barrie and chuck have gofundmes for their projects when Lana has bank lmao. I get that Barrie is her ex and Chuck might want to be outside her sister's sphere on this one, but still. Maybe BenEd are such absentee fathers because she's got them funneling the donations $10 at a time breaking bad style.
  7. I'd add hollywood, starry eyed, and say yes to heaven to Paradise to move it out of EP into LP status and give it a more well-rounded feel. I'd keep DLMBM in Honeymoon, but move it between burnt norton and religion.
  8. Literally 0. Maybe bart-t-t- simpson if he's done anything for her sobriety
  9. no thom don't sue me for copyright infringement ur so... um... so... uh......
  10. I feel like 'incest' lies p solidly in the 'it's alright to be offended by this' camp
  11. Stop resolving arguments organically we need to reach 4000 in 10 days ffs
  12. Oh yeah I do that too (esp when it's a hazelnut latte because yum), I'm not saying it couldn't be right, just the specificality of it made me giggle On an unrelated note as much as I think Jack can make things sound broadly pretty there's definitely been a drop in production since HM in my opinion. BTD, P, UV, and HM feel like aluminium-glass backed phones whereas a lot of LFL and NFR are plastic-backed. There are a couple of exceptions (like hope because it's just a piano) but coachella was when it became the most obvious to my ears, and as much as I love and miss MAC the heavy weight of production quality just isn't there for me anymore
