Lana seems to run primarily on spite. Remember when the critics and general public were bashing her? She tried so hard to prove them wrong by releasing masterpieces one after the other. Now the critics have warmed up to her and most people adore her, so she’s doesn’t have a reason to give a fuck.

Ooh unpopular opinions?? Her lyrics were original and charming in AKA, everything she said really painted a picture and I feel like she slowly lost that charm in her songwriting over time. Although I adore UV, Black Beauty is when her lyricism was at its worst, there is not a single interesting lyric in the whole thing, it’s like she wasn’t even trying. I think Honeymoon and NFR is a return to her more out of the box type of songwriting ((I have no clue wtf happened with LFL tho))

Paradise comes off as very plastic and lifeless to me. The AKA version of Yayo is far superior and the only song on Paradise worth anything is Ride (and maybe Cola if you’re feeling trashy)
