Oh yeah this is going to be hard to listen to more than once. I’m not even American, but my heart gets so heavy it can be hard to breathe sometimes when I hear songs like these

I don’t really see how any of the songs except doin time go with a surfer vibe, so it kinda confused me when I saw the trailer. Maybe Venice Bitch but even that’s a stretch, it gives me more of a “reading a poetry book by the beach at sunset” vibe. MAC has a lot of lyrics about the sea but it isn’t surfer-y. BAR and Hope have absolutely nothing to tie them to that whole aesthetic either. Mind you, we still haven’t heard a few songs so I might be completely off

I’m sure someone has suggested it before but Don’t Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult screams Lana to me and idk why

The cover is much softer than I expected, more upbeat too! It sounds real cute though I’m looking forward to it

Male celebrities are only made fun of when they stink of piss and look like they showered in grease but someone like Lana can attend a bday party with her hair shining, her skin clear, wearing a long expensive looking dress and still gets shit on for not spending half an hour in front of the mirror trying to get her eyeliner right jfc

For some reason I never gave Ultraviolence or Cruel World a real chance, listened to them twice, decided they were boring and after that always skipped over them when listening to the album. I really played myself I was missing out on so much, Ultraviolence is a queen and Cruel World is such a cutie

You know the more I look at the cover the more I realize the only thing that I dislike about it is the neon jacket and nails. Imagine those two in any other non-neon color. Wouldn’t it look much less messy?

I’m happy it’s not boring and she seems to have a cohesive vision this time around. It may look out of place amongst her other work but that’s the case for every album of hers at first

I think she wants to have a sense of humor for this album so people won’t think she’s some sorry of stiff beauty queen. She’s trying to be looser and more experimental
