The problem is that she is wrong. Charli has control over what she wears, she has creative control over her videos, and she is not a teenager. While many music artists are puppets, music artists are in a position to have much more creative control than actors. Actors have to depend on other people's scripts 99.9% of the time. They have to depend on the choices of casting directors, wear what the costume designers want them to wear, and act how the director wants them to act. I think there is just some kind of disconnect here.

I also thought Rose McGowan's comment was extremely rude. Why did she even agree to be in the video....

My date wants to know if there are any black people at Charli XCX concerts. I don't know why this matters because it's not like we're going to be around a bunch of Neo-Confederates, but I don't want to discount her feelings being that I look more Hispanic than black.

I'm going to have to disagree with her method of writing this song. Some of the biggest hits have been dumb songs, but I don't think most artists intentionally make these songs dumb. I think they intentionally try to write something simple and catchy that just comes out dumb. Some artists just don't have the cognitive ability to write something intelligent. Other artists just take what they can get from writers and producers or are forced to go a certain direction from their record companies. There have been many simple songs that have become hits, but aren't necessarily dumb.

It's cool that you're an artist. I've remixed songs in the past. It's when people spend several hours a week doing a combination of obsessive things for a celebrity or anyone is when it gets creepy.
 
I'm assuming that most of you are Americans. This is a general statement, but most Americans are bizarre in that they will tolerate large amounts of violence and substance abuse, but turn into Puritans when it comes to something as natural as sex and the human body. If it weren't for sexual attraction, none of us would be here. I'm not going to apologize for being an open person when it comes to verbally expressing what everyone thinks, but I will tone down the sexual rhetoric since it makes the virgin ears so uncomfortable.
