  1. I love, love, love the song. BUT They don't like the song. It's not a big deal. Opinions, assholes, and all that. it's not "disrespectful" to decide you don't like something. If I go to a restaurant and I hate the food, it's not "disrespectful" because the chef spent time on it.
  2. I love this. This sounds Lynchian and beautiful. I know I'm too hyped and everything but it shits all over UV (the track) and pretty much the whole album Her voice is steady and on point, the BTD dramatic strings are BACK ("Mr. Born to Lose" gave me feels too ) It's less repetitive sounding then I thought it would be, but the rest of the album needs to have songs that are even less repetitive than this
  3. I have a theory that she's given up on europe specifically because she can't be assed to actually do promo there anymore "What? Perform? AND I have to travel how many hours to do it? ugh. Hell no" -Lizzy "where's my sugar, daddy?" Grant. And woah, people talked about how delusional and screwy post UV fans would be? Huntymoon is already serving tin foil flower crown realness
  4. Last Christmas, and Santa Baby (obvs). With Stevie Nicks. Iconic. Alternately, FKA Twigs. Jingle Bell Rock would be cool too, with Chuck or something. I like to see/hear Lana having fun.
  5. I want cheeky, precocious, toying with the boys Lolita/OOTR/TIWMUG/Kinda Outta Luck Lana. There weren't any tracks on UV that gave me life like those, even though I know a lot of people don't like TIWMUG. I think MTWBT has that potential. Is the whole fandom opposed to bops now? I'm the saddest girl in town irl but jeez, you can only do so much twirling around in fur and diamonds waiting for daddies to flock. I don't want Lana to be a one trick pony. We know she's capable of so much more than that, We know she's interested in being so much more then that.
  6. What are you even talking about? Is this supposed to be a drag? Are you really that mad I called you squidward? Did you get food poisoning from calamari?
  7. Alright squidward, since this embarassment of a thread can no longer go on with these crackpot theories, please give me more insider analysis on Honeymoon based on these deep lyrics shrouded in mystery and symbolism and the very telling 30 seconds of audio we have of the song
  8. Alone Forever, Forever Alone
  9. Ignoring how nonsensical that comeback was, what else are we supposed to do besides twiddle our thumbs waiting for more 10 second instagram crumbs from Lana? I swear this fanbase is full of the most pretentious stans, I hope Honeymoon is actually full of songs about letting rich daddies snort coke off of her ass while she drinks whiskey after he hires her as his private go go dancer
  10. Old Money is boring as hell and should have been replaced any song that isn't boring as hell
  11. This is me reading sarcasm on the internet wrong, right? If not
  12. S&M Is it weird that I could actually see her covering Bitch Better Have My Money?
  13. I would really prefer a studio version of that Why Don't You Do Right cover from the tour. I've worshiped that song since forever (and Lana preforming it in Jessica Rabbit attire would excuse all red dress related cringing )
  14. I really think a lot of it is from that one teacher (and maybe the record exec guy? who knows about that story anyway) + Lolita. Especially with the "younger other woman" persona that comes up so often. Like you said, she probably likes the dynamic, but it can play out in a lot of ways beyond age, like submissive role playing, "care taking", etc. It's one of those things that, like many others, her fans take way too literally.
  15. Diet Mountain Dew should have just kept the lyrics of the demo version BTD is her most lyrically ambitious work, as much as people retroactively shit on it. AKA worked because it had the charm of being simple and honest, both in terms of lyrics and production. UV's biggest problem imo was that the lyrics didn't mesh well with the sound in a lot of places. Sad Girl had great verses, and it sounded really great and jazzy during them. Then that chorus. What? PWYC had the same problem, but with a better bridge than Sad Girl. I love Ultraviolence (the song) but it was kind of sloppy altogether, lyrically.
  16. "JK, it's about our friend Lizzy who is a friend of Carly's. She's been looking for an apartment for about three years and her parents are starting to get worried. So we wrote a song for her parents."
  17. You mean the chorus might actually consist of more then just her moaning the name of the song 4 times?
