I've noticed this too.. I love Lana, especially her unreleased stuff and a lot of the songs nobody is here for but I'm also not 15 years old and High By The Beach is the last single I've brought since since the Lana del Rey EP .I'm always there day 1 for the album though.When I listen to Lana with my friends who like her, we're hanging around drinking or smoking, when I listen to her alone I'm usually just chilling. People are always surprised I even stan her because her fans have that same rep that Marina, etc fans have at concerts. It's crazy, and a mood killer, especially when you actually listen to the stuff they're writing about. This album is fantastic. Her visual concept,the sound, everything is on point, Definitely one of my favorite albums of the year. I need a Cry Baby sig now lol

The lyrics of HBTB are loose, surreal, and Lynchian? Also, we still know what a concept album is these days... (and BTD and Paradise ain't it) Anyway, girl better have some variety in those choruses and bridges. Even in Honeymoon I found it less repetitive than almost anything on UV, almost as if she was trying. Personally, I think it comes down to her not being a one take kind of artist. She writes a bunch, reworks a bunch, changes things up a bunch. Look at how many different versions of her unreleased (or released ) tracks there are. She's a perfectionist and she needs that time. Which is partly why I think she abandoned UV so quick. It was personal, but it also wasn't up to her standard, critical acclaim or no.

A Time for Searching and The Energy of You are the ones really throwing me off. Those are some stupid fucking titles.Afar and Still is cringey too, but I can see Lana doing that.

I can't believe I'm all over the place defending this not completely visually spectacular video, but she ignores the helicopter for the most part because she's used to it. She's hiding in her room and trying to ignore it (which is how she generally handles press) then she snapped for whatever reason, tired of seeing herself be misinterpreted and slandered and decided that it was time to shoot the shit talkers down.

It looks like a tabloid rag so it could either be something about plastic surgery or the "I wish I was dead" comments.

Yeah,especially lining up with the idea that she wrote this song during/right after the BTD era. The "never brought into your bullshit when you would pay tribute to me" could be referring to UV's critical acclaim because it was somehow more "authentic" because she was toned down and miserable. Which kind of give me high hopes for Honeymoon Lana to be BTD like high glamour, high production with a side of "call me fake if you want, fuck off" Don't need your money: press, label, endorsement money Everyone can start again, not through love, but through revenge: I'm done trying to please whoever and will actively come at them if the come at me.
