Its true that most people who smoke weed do so rarely; my opinion is that the majority of Gaga's fans will be young teenagers, impressionable, and easily influenced. If Gaga makes something 'cool' (in their eyes), then she increases the chance of someone following her lead. She isn't one of those artists that accidentally became a role model; she actively wants to be someone that her fans can admire and be like and be influenced by. She gets off on that and has said as much. Which is why I find the weed smoking and fur wearing disturbing. If you WANT to be a role model, behave like one. Rihanna for example, doesn't pretend to be a good influence, she does what she wants; its slightly different in my eyes.

APPARENTLY... How did we miss it! I googled "zona musical lana del rey paradise edition" and it came up! I am at work and have downloaded it BUT I can't play it so I dont know if it the full version. Some of the lengths seem a bit short?

It's the message it send out; her fans are generally teenagers and she has said 'its ok to smoke weed' by doing it. There is increasing scientific proof that weed has a permanent effect, and the people I know who have done weed for sometime regularly, don't work, claim benefits, and don't care... She has condoned that.

It wasn't fake unfortunately; Hermes doesn't do fake. And she has since worn fur after fur after fur. Even if it IS fake, she hasn't said it is, therefore she is promoting wearing fur. If Lana wears fur I'd be hugley disappointed, BUT she hasn't said publicly she hates fur. It's also the hypocrisy I dislike. Shame, because Gaga is a talented singer and writer, but sooooo desperate for love from her 'monsters' sometimes it makes me cringe.

I've been a Madonna fan since 1986, and seen her a ton of times. Had the pleasure of meeting her a few times too; she's a true performer though her current single releases are bizarre choices... I used to love Gaga, then she became a complete hypocrite and started wearing fur, after she had clearly stated she disliked wearing fur. Money changed her... not another penny of mine will be spent on that trash.

I think you are reading waaay too much into all of this. My friend is a songwriter, and while he writes from experience, he also writes from the experiences of those around him, but makes them personal. If someone who didn't know him read them, they would assume it's all about him... he's inspired by friends, movies (and Lana is so inpired by film noir), news reports, books.. LIFE, just not always his.
