    The Pretty Reckless

There's a new edition of the LP available in the US store now. Black and white artwork with a grey/white swirl colored record + a Taylor Momsen poster: http://theprettyreckless.merchnow.com/products/171816/the-pretty-reckless-going-to-hell-lp
  3. Gaga fired her manager because they had different opinions on what the next single should be? Sounds a bit extreme.

    The Pretty Reckless

uncensored #nsfw version of the cover:
  5. If she does go on talk shows I want her to go on Craig Ferguson. He's like ultra-flirty and he's funny + he's Scottish so maybe she could talk about Barrie and her visiting Scotland. I really don't like Ellen and Conan but Alan Carr can be cool. And David Letterman would probably lust over her which would make her feel good.
  6. I actually think it's a great closer and I love how the band plays it without her at the end and she takes photos and signs stuff for fans at the end.
  7. She's just going to sing the same songs as on the Paradise tour so Cola Body Electric Blue Jeans Born to Die Carmen Blue Velvet Young & Beautiful American Without You Knockin' on Heaven's Door Ride Summertime Sadness Burning Desire Video Games National Anthem This is what she sang at the concert I went to. Idk how long Coachella sets are so maybe she'll do fewer songs.

  9. Radio FM, you can get it here: http://www.fontpalace.com/font-details/RadioFM/ Here are other Lana-related fonts: http://lanaboards.com/index.php?/topic/1822-lana-del-rey-resources-tutorials-more/
  10. I want to go back to something you said earlier. You acknowledged that you didn’t have a great welcoming into the American public eye, but now, a year and half after Born to Die came out, you’re connecting with a new audience via the “Summertime Sadness” remix at Top 40 radio. Lana: It just reinforces the fact that… not that nothing really matters, but that other people’s opinions don’t really matter because it can change on a dime. And if people are so ready to change, maybe they don’t have the strongest character. I’m not as interested in flip-floppers. I kind of feel blessed the more I go along. I have a young brother and sister, and it’s gotten really basic for me and become about the family. How are we all going to live together if I’m on the road? Are they going to come with me? Will I ever go home again? Probably not. My new product manager, whom I’d never met before, brought me a SoundScan to show me that “Summertime Sadness” was being spun, a lot of times in L.A. and in New York. It kind of just doesn’t feel like it’s mine, ‘cause I’ve had such a hand up to my face for so long. I'm not against Lana playing in the US at all, I think it'd be great if she did but I don't think people should get her hopes up because we've expected American dates a few times now and she only played only played one big festival last year, and one this year.
  11. I think you're overestimating Interscope's influence on Lana's music. With a lot of musicians, the labels do have a lot of influence and tend to push their opinion but Lana seems to be pretty good at getting her way with them. She said they didn't like Paradise but she managed to release that, barely any singles, she got them to finance Tropico which probably isn't making them a lot of money (I mean the tickets were free and I doubt too many people are buying songs we already have) and she has never toured the US properly. I actually think it's quite impressive how much power Lana seems to have, she just does whatever she wants and I think she'll do the same with Ultraviolence. And I really wouldn't expect a US tour, I mean it would be cool if she does it and she may surprise everyone but if you expect it you'll just be let down.
  12. The labels have to submit everything they want to be nominated.
  13. those are like the exact same nominations as the golden globes. i really thought lana had a chance since her song was so successful, i was hoping we'd at least see her in a beautiful gown and get new photos
  14. it was listed as Lana Del Ray on iTunes (and the artist name was also Lana Del Ray) but everyone just calls it Lana Del Ray a.k.a. Lizzy Grant.
  15. Does anyone here know what the meaning behind 108 is? Like, I read it was about her being exploited and it was also inspired by a Swedish film and Laurie Anderson but what's 108?
  16. A lot of Lana's unreleased songs have randomly played on the radio and in stores in stuff, doesn't mean it'll be on the new album.

    Hip Hop

That video isn't available in my country but does it say/are you saying that Iggy doesn't talk about that kind of stuff? I like some of her music but she's rapped about all of that cliché hip hop stuff since she first started.
  20. This really isn't one of my favourite Lana songs but I love the ending when she says "you say take it off, take it off", sounds really shocked and the instrumental stops for a bit. And it's even better in the video. She looks really creepy with those white lashes, I don't know what she was thinking but she looks cute in that nightgown. Even though I don't love it I think it's good it's on the album, it's the most ~surf noir~ of all the songs I think.
  21. Well every song besides Video Games is produced by Emile so that isn't saying much. And isn't the person who manages to fulfill her visions Anthony Mandler? Black Beauty is beautiful.
