  1. I always thought it was The Revenge of Lana Del Rey? No?

I thought the original titles for BTD were, The Revenge of Lana Del Rey, The Best of Lana Del Rey and God Bless America

It’s The Revenge of Lana Del Rey...

You’re forgetting the best one, Do U Luv Me Yet?

That's iconic I couldn't remember the right line, and at first I thought it was for AKA but that was actually something else.

Anyway. LEGENDARY and honestly all her titles are good, cannot BELIEVE we are heading to a new era already.

  2. What was the Flipside book thing again?

    http://www.kaltblut-magazine.com/flip-side-james-francos-book-about-lana-del-rey/

    https://www.amazon.com.br/Flip-Side-Real-Imaginary-Conversations-Lana/dp/157687799X

It was some type of "book" made from personal photos\selfies while documenting Lana's life and "trying to understand her". The book was delayed forever til it was canceled and never released. I don't think there's a lot of info about it, but it's sad she jumped out of the project.

  3. I just wish we get to see Chuck's documentary, plus it would be nice to see more footage of Lana on studio (absolutely love the RBFY and BPBP videos)

To think Chuck was filming this bitch even before the first time she came to South America nnnnn mess. After the "Flipside" book situation I wouldn't put any hopes on stuff that would, somehow, show Lana's personal life

  4. "Upcoming series for Mariners Apartment Complex" gave me something like "short movie" tease. Like serie of videos about the theme.

Which also could be, you know, the official title for the thing\official album title. (and that's mainly why deleted)

If this was the second jam instead of the first I'd believe my own theory without doubt LMAO. Every title track has been the second single (or second released song) from every record by now. BTD, Ultraviolence and Lust for Life were the official second singles from every record. Honeymoon was the first promo single, but it was put on iTunes after High By the Beach only, so "second official release".

    Yes I'm intrigued.

Also googled about the "series" meaning cuz it can be some other possibilities.

    https://www.definitions.net/definition/series

"a group of postage stamps having a common theme or a group of coins or currency selected as a group for study or collection"

Even instagrams posts at the same time every day can be a series then nn

  5. You both make very fair and valid points. The UV trailer is my favourite produced official video Lana has done. But I think it can be its strength though? Like if WC had a real story behind, I'm not 100% sure it would make sense in the context of the song. Even if the video had ended up being what it was supposed to be, it wouldn't be much different story wise. My only issue with WC video is that if they cut on screen drug use, they could have hinted at it differently; like the black and white part, I would have liked to see some psychedelic colours, thinking of L$D by Rocky

I never even knew about the drug cut to be honest LMAO.

And yes, I LOVE the album trailer ughhh it's flawless. Even the song cuts.

Honeymoon one if amazing as well. And the Lust For Life teaser even thought there was no song... like wow. This is something I hope she'll keep doing for the upcoming records.

  6. I might be biased because I literally became a stan because of West Coast (and Tropico and Old Money but mostly West Coast and Money Power Glory) and this might be an unpopular opinion but the West Coast video is by far my favourite Lana music video and I mean that. It symbolises Ultraviolence so perfectly and fits the song so well, for example in my opinion far better than the Born To Die video fits the song. I didn't got to see the lush productions of BTD and Para before West Coast so it didn't felt like a downgrade at all. Anyways I'm just being petty lol

It makes total sense and I get it hahahahha. It's just that, for people that were here before (and I won't lie that the videos and ~aesthetic~ in general was a Plus for the stanning) we went from like... National Anthem and Ride and Tropico to West Coast and it felt awkward. From real short-movies to a simple music video where pretty much nothing happened.

When I look back at it now, I see it's perfect for the song itself and it was a top-notch introduction for Ultraviolence, but It felt like a letdown back.

  7. Kind of, but we knew about it and that it was coming sooner than later since we got the full lyrics on the tour booklet + she sang some of it at the last date of Endless Summer. Not to mention the brand new Honeymoon account that posted two snippets within days of each other

I think she's going for the "same route" on this one. Probably pushing 2 promo songs and something else coming by the end of the year\early 2019. She always put some promotional singles really next to each other before the official record release ( I know that all the other times we had the titles\record date officially out) but maybe this time they're just taking it slow to see how it goes.

Reminds me of how we got West Coast, a break, and then Brooklyn Baby\Shades Of Cool\ Ultraviolence were all released really close to each other. High By The Beach \ Honeymoon \ Music To Watch Boys To (and I think she played Salvatore on Radio before the album came out?? Memory not working right now lmao).

If MAC comes out with "official video" (which is also not confirmed cuz all that footage tease could be, you know, just teasers), I'm honestly convinced there will be a record out this year. Probably around mid-November.

After all I mean this is the same woman who announced her lead single while tweeting that the leaked song people were promoting (Meet Me in the Pale Moonlight) was actually old af

  8. I just really took time to read "The Guardian" article and it was just such a mess, I'm just glad we are in 2018, almost 2019, and she got better and changed her mind.

    Because that interview....ew.

EDIT: AND THAT WAS PAID BY HER FUCKING UK LABEL I JUST CAN'T HDNKDSKNSDJSNDNSJNSNSN

  9. I'm a sucker for Synthpop in general so both are really good. A bit... "too-like" and Kid Wonder left me waiting for a better chrous but overall, beautiful songs.

edit: Nevermind about what I said for Kid Wonder. It's flawless on it's own and keeps getting better.

  10. In my eyes, Simon Says was very successful in its role as a Bitch sequel and added a whole other layer of depth to the original concept while still fitting in with the rest of the tracks on its album, meanwhile NSBILA struggles to find its footing as a predictably written Downtown parody, and struggles as a song to actually progress from CollXtion II instead of sounding like a rejected demo from it that she heard one day in the car and decided it was worth releasing in its unfinished form last-second instead of taking the time or effort to update it in any way. That's just my opinion tho  :flutter:

I get it. I don't think Simon Says is bad, it's just that I expected something better (If you lurk before CLX II was released I was stanning that instrumental NNNN).

Not so Bad in LA is a great song the way it is cuz I don't really take it serioursly, but I love the weird sound + sarcastic lyrics to talk about a city that was shown and perceived to be so "Glam" and is still the core over the giant industry for movies & music. And the line "Angels all left but we'll stay". I really hear it as a strong track on it's own. Not really single material, thought, hehe.

AAAAAAAAAND AFTER WE HEARD SOME STUFF I'M JUST GLAD IT WAS RELEASED AND NOT WORKED ANY FURTHER. POOR SIS OLD HABITS DIE HARD\THAT'S SO US etc

  11. All The Rage is a great banger but it's really that generic song that we all love but... I'm just glad it never made the final cut to CLX II (even if the record have it own glory of sounding like it was made for Spotify Chill Playlists).

Unsolved was truly iconic with all the MESS around it. Ugh. Her mind.

And all this NSBILA vs BITCH feud I don't get it since NSBILA for me was like the second BITCH emulation but this time around better than Simon Says and not so clear. The weirds synths are still there tho, love 'em.

  12. That was a nice read. I kinda expected the album to have a "deluxe" or a change when she mentioned if people were unhappy with the final tracklist. He. He.

I still enjoy Clx II the way it really is. Solid Record.

  13. Well, even if we are not counting with "untouchable 5", Lana herself confirmed that she reworked most of the record with Dan and that's what we deal with "original Ultraviolence record" (and recently we got some snippets from original demos that sound, well, different.)

I always imagined these 5 were for the new record and not Paradise outtakes. But really early records. The way we know about Black Beauty and all these songs were made avaliable at same time and even sound-like....

Love when we take deeper looks over this sea. Reminds me when lanaboards theorized the possibility of having a full scrapped record\concept between AKA and Born to Die with all the recordings we have around these years and even the "Mink coat video" thing.

  14. Just listened to the original version of Old Habits Die Hard after probably like 1 year and I was like "WTF IS THIS LMAO". Got so used to CLX II version....

Also feeling dumb that the final lyrics on the analog version of NSBInLA is actually part of the original version nnnn. "BITCH" found dead in a ditch
