  1. Listened to Disconnect the other day and it's just damn good. It's not a masterpiece but I'd love to hear the record going for something upbeat into "Disco" zone. (I mean FROOT (song) is a masterpiece.)

Read "Marina producing it" got me feeling of the re-release of Gimme The Money :deadbanana:

  2. The whole drag thing is a bit too much for me but I'm like "You go girl".

At least it seems to work while performing so... whatever.

    But for the lewks... well...

  3. CLX III about L.A. and decay but using it as metaphor for Shadowland

    A concept???

(not sure If I already said this on this thread because I was meant to but I don't think I did)

  4. She posted a pic from Pride and there's the big screen behind her and the backdrop looks so... good............someone give this girl an arena tour with all dates sold out. IT'S WHAT SHE DESERVES.

  5. Ok I was about to Re-Edit "The Story of X" video with GOOD but replaced with Alexandra instead because both were almost same lenght.

And I just passed out and how when she sings "but she ran away" it shows herself crawling on the floor

"Could not keep her safe" goes into the Cage scene with Mayo

At the first "Alexandra" before the chorus, it's closing on her while she's inside that box like a coffin and then...

    and the best:

The "spinning" scene (Allie + Shadow) and then both falling just right before the second chorus

    an eXperience, kids...

  6. The BITCH remix video could fit perfectly into... GOOD. Or maybe the original song.

But that remix is just... I'd rather not think about it.

Catch remains unbothered. It's quite funny, all her videos are just like... lot of random footage put together but they used to work, while Paper Love\Casanova just feels flat. I guess it's all about the visuals

And I don't think there will be a "Focus" video. At least not now... Maybe by December when the song is already forgotten.

But really praying that the next song will get a "first single" treatment...

  7. Hello everyone! I've been wanting to join this forum for a while now, so here I am. There's a few exclusive things people might not know, so I'll start with this: the Ladies and Gentlemen CD I have came in a cardboard sleeve with credits and a never-before-seen blurb that reads as follows:

"This CD is a passport, just for you, from a young and intrepid explorer called Allie Hughes. Like the cover says: She's fresh, bright, quirky, new.

Allie is searching for a believer. It just might possibly be you.

Allie's believer will be someone whose ears can hear an unusual crystal-clear voice, trained for the musical stage, allied to the rough-and-tumble rock-out world of original pop music (with the occasional confessional note) from a passionate singer/songwriter with heart and smarts.

Someone who would have seen the spark in Rufus Wainwright, Sarah Slean or Kate Bush, long before they became famous.

Someone who can understand stories about dear strange lost friends in Amsterdam, or the way we all fall in love, or the black clouds that can follow us around, or what a relief it is sometimes when people who are too close to us get the hell out of our lives.

Unusual? Yes. Sassy, funny, intimate, feisty. And unique, too - there isn't a singer like this, anywhere.

So. Now you've discovered Allie Hughes.

    - Richard Flohil, December 2008"

This is beautiful, thanks for sharing! And welcome to hell x

  8. The new rumored name is way better than Banana something

About the Yungelita girl, are they like still close? I really don't know because Melanie really just vanished away and she keeps all in private (at least it seems). At least she's not promoting them through her social media anymore

  9. anyways she needs to release Not So Bad in LA (yes this one, preferrably before Science imo) and Science immediately

i don't even remember what Little Things sounds like HDJGDFHfdh

I second that. Even thought I'm pretty scared the song won't hit hard as I expect and it will be like a mellow synthwave.......at least this one had a hook

  10. i really like the song i don't get why y'all don't, idk, it's cute

    You got it right sis

It's not bad but... it's just cute nn

I really like Focus. But it's not Little Things. :hair:

I just need all of them. I need CLX III

I really just can't believe it's really happening because I didn't expect music to come before like... August at earliest?? and then it would be like

Song in August and Album coming out May 2019

  11. Oh my god she asked if she had fans on Japan the other days probably because of the sutitles on the Focus lyric video YET SHE MANAGED TO GET A TYPO ON THE PREVIEW\SNIPPET NNNN

    Her mind...

  12. I agree. I lowkey still want 2015 era music, like dark electro pop and stuff. Prime was amazing, CATCH was a total BANGER and still is and basically everything the legend did between 2015-2016 was literally her musical prime. the best bops were born in those times...ughhhhh

Looking at it now I can see why people really praised songs like Too Much To Dream & All The Rage (and the original OHDH) and got upset when they didn't make the cut. They were all "punch-y" songs (is this like the right expression I have no idea of what I'm saying nn), they were uptempo, etc.

Things on CLX II are all into "midtempo", and even the "bops" are just way too slow and miss the "frenetic" feeling over it I guess. Focus goes by the same.

  13. The song is great, you can keep it on repeat and it won't get "tiring" but at same time it's really... I mean it's totally CLX II-Chillwave. It sounds like a modern twist over an 80's inspired tho, it's good, but I'm hoping for some...more "HIT-IN-THE-FACE" type of stuff like Prime, Good etc.

When I listened to Focus I really got Need You-Never Enough-Old Habits Die Hard and one "the 1975" song which I can't remember the name, all put in a blender.

  14. As I suspected\We mentioned, the "Offering" snippet is actually part of Downtown stems  :deadbanana:

It's the last chorus. "Allie FX STEM". Funny because it's also my fav part in the full song, the backing vocals are sublime and she's saying Offering.  :deadbanana:  :toofunny:

  15. Is the first time Casanova

    Exactly.

I think there's something that really pulls me away from casanova. I like it, but it seems that every other version of the song keeps me way more "into it" than the final album version.

Just listened to Focus in full, I would wait til tomorrow but who cares.

It's great but feels a bit "bland". The high vocals were missed on the studio....

It's def a cute song but it feels like a "speed-up" version of Need You or so.

  16. Just listened to her snippet on Facebook and already... I just cannot believe this is the second time the live will be better than studio nn

  17. Glam is really that type of song that would just explode if it was released in 2012. Electropop at it's finest. Gays would probably go crazy.

In other news can someone leak focus already, craving it

  18. 67768f6ea784fc1d33bd87846895410061bd4a01

    Omg bitch

Mixed feelings because I love the ~vintage (?)~ aesthetic but that thing on her face... is it actually make up or what but it just doesn't work for me.

The snippet sound great, reminds me of Lorde's liability reprise with that voocoder even thought there's nothing like and I'm just craving new music.

    Exciting times!!!

  19. btw i take "focus is the weakest" back.

If it sound this great live, there are endless possibilites of being even better on studio, because most of the songs are great live but appart from Casanova I don't think there's any other that sound better live
