  1. "Put the radio on, hold you tight in my mind. Isn't strange that you're not here with me."

    vs

"TIME PRESENT AND TIME PAST ARE BOTH PERHAPS PRESENT IN THE TIME FUTURE"

  2. coming up roses*

but YES i completely agree Hello is one of my fav tracks it reminds me of a broadway song tho

Omg the messy website I got the lyrics backtracked on me

Loved the "Broaway song" term for it. Really, feels epic.

It's nice when u compare like Paper Love and Hello and like, how CLX I is so... glittering? and CLX II is just really "dark" but both opening tracks really set the right mood. Good openers even with the fact Paper Love is... weak.

omg interesting u say that cause I remember playing with the stems and realised you only needed to like takeaway the lead vocals and a few other stems and you basically have a witch house song from 2011

lmao yes. A friend of mine knew I was interested about the witch house sound and sent me Bitch and at first I was like "this is like trying but not really getting there right"... never enough came on next and then I developed this awkward obsession with 80's-Inspired music to replace the witch house one.

Nowdays I just love Bitch so much. It's really THAT SONG that have ALLIE X printed on it.

  3. Hello is so underrated. This song is gold. Some of my fav lyrics and probably it was this + never enough that really got me into "FEELING X" First song I listened was Bitch and I thought it was some ugly Crystal-Castles-Experiment nnnn

I love everything she does but still, everytime I play Hello I really feel it down in my guts.

"Next time the doctor tells me
I have to swallow a pill to put it in perspective
I'll tell her everything's coming up
was shockingly better than I expected"

    Just... wow.

  4. Saw everyone dragging Blue knees (Which for me is still called "Next time it rains" because it got a cute cover art along when I downloaded) and, for some random reason, I really keep going back to listen to it every now and then even thought the song is just plain. But the beat + hook work together and got glued in my head??????

  5. it is different! it's missin that weird instrument that's over the piano in the beginning and throughout the song. i can upload it real quick

I'M SHOOK AT HOW THE INTRO ALREADY SOUND 10 TIMES BETTER LMFAAAAAAAAAO

I'm upset this sound like a fking good ballad wow???

thanks for upploading it, real angel <3

  6. Really sad the Ronson collabs didn't turn into anything solid. That's a genuinely interesting pairing and I bet they could have made some great stuff. Even if Lana worked with Jack, I doubt she'd let him take over the production to the point that it sounds like the synthpop nightmare everyone is envisioning in their heads rn. Didn't he produce this gem?

He's really 8 or 80 in general lol

He do have some really great songs, on the other hand, the "bad ones" are really messy. But mostly of his recent work has been praised; Melodrama, St. Vicent's record... and the nice thing is that they're all different.

  7. Her work with Jack could end up just like Ronsons' for "Honeymoon" but it really get me intrigued about what they were up to. Still, it doesn't really get me "scared" of her going Mainstream because her entire life she worked with Rick Nowels and this man really couldn't get her a hit or put her on a mainstream route for example....Not that their work is her prime aswell, but they have some of the best songs.

She mentioned before they didn't really have the "will" of getting her songs on the radio. Sometimes we blame Max Martin about Lust For Life (song) when the final is not even his version and they re-worked the thing before releasing the final so... lol

  8. TLAAM somehow sounds a bit experimental to me. Like a Black-Cherry-era Goldfrapp track. We probably won't get to hear it anyway

This is honestly so hot and I get so bored when people are like "LANA'S ONLY GOOD WHEN SHE'S DOING ONE-VOCAL-TAKE-ONLY OVER GUITAR RIFFS EVEN IF HER VOICE CRACKS BECAUSE THAT'S ART AND HER FEELINGS!!!"

I mean girl if she dropped anything slightly electronic it would just blow her catalogue as something totally new and probably amazing

I'd much rather have her to explore something totally new like this than going into something else already done and "sound like a failure"

this song's outro is...something I could hear on her music easily and still totally Del Rey.

  9. LDR6 to sound like Bird of a Feather.

Acoustic instrumentals with heavy autotuned vocals.

Talking like an answering machine indeed i swear to god the moment i clicked on the thread I was listening to BOAF and saw this title for the first time...

Jokes aside, I don't really mind the titles so far or judge stuff for so many reasons. First of all, there's a big possibility we won't even hear the stuff that has been teased, and if we get to listen to it, there's the possibility that she just changed the whole lyrics to something new.....

I don't really think that HIAB would be just a piano ballad raw like that. Reminds me of the first snippet for "Roses bloom for you" and then her longer videos playing it in the bg and you could hear new stuff around it. EVEN RAW SONGS LIKE OLD MONEY GET SOMETHING MORE THAN JUST PIANO+VOCAL.

  10. the one that leaked with the album instrumentals

Is it different from the final instrumental\album version?

I realized never bothered enough to listen to Joanne instrumentals when they all leaked, just John Wayne & Title Track back then... real stan here y'all see  :toofunny:

Anyway I think Angel Down is just trash. Ok not trash but, def, not good. Her worst closing song.

The second half of Joanne is really... something else. The songs like Come To Mama and Hey Girl... they just exist in this Lady Gaga world but I just can't see how it will be like 10 years from now and we take a listen at these

  11. All the bonus tracks are like really great and that's interesting how the things can still work outside the "tiring-timeline".

As mentioned before, the unreleaseds like Bombs on Monday and Nightmime even thought follow the "kids-toys-pattern" still pretty much fresh and... not so...awkward? like soap, sippy cup and other lyrics like these...

Edit: Oh and also I think same for the songs on Dollhouse that aren't on crybaby. Damn, "Dead to Me" and "Bittersweet Tragedy" (ddd I had to google the tracklist because I forgot this one even thought i used to love it) are solid tracks.

  12. Recently I've been listening a lot to songs like In My Feelings, probably cuz I ignored it's existence from my head.  I think LFL will be great record to revisit time after time and listen to different songs. Sometimes you will be heroin and sometimes you will be in my feelings...

I'm looking forward this next one because I feel it will be... really like the step forward on her "hunt for happiness" and she just travelled across the whole world while touring... I have like 2 concepts:

    1. She's really happy with all the experiences from across the globe

    2. She's exausthed and that will be reflected on music and how torturing it was to be touring for months

  13. Saw her open for Hayley last night and I'm officially a fan  :defeated:  She was super fucking sweet and she sounded amazing

Welcome, tell us how the new songs sounded like and little spoiler we'll probably never hear the final version of them unless someone leak all of them together in like some years

  14. I don't really get the fuss about soundtracking any special movie. I'd rather just have it as a surprise like it happened with Big Eyes and also Young and Beautiful. Y&B already existed and they re-worked it for the movie so I'm not even concerned because it's just that any song she does can work later on the right moment.

God forbid another "Life is beautiful" sittuation.

  15. Listening to these new videos;

Not So Bad in L.A. verses gimme "80's-power-ballad-realness" but the chorus hits something like "BITCH\SIMON SAYS"...really CLX I (even thought she didn't do most of the song since the mic didn't work but ok). Science aswell... I can tell you I'm really really excited for these new songs

  16. Somehow ended in threads from like 2012 and 2016 about her in different boards and like... it's just an endless cycle.....................I'm scared.

  17. “Whitman is my daddy, Monica's my mother
    Diamonds are my bestest friend
Heaven is my baby, suicide's her father
    Opulence is the end”

    vs

"Well, I didn't know it would come to this

But that's what happens when you're on your own

    And You're alright

    With letting nice things go"
