  17. i would loooove for the fenway song to be the opener of this album in my mind the album opens w/ the fenway song and is followed by a bunch of cool tracks that are aligned with the somewhat chaotic energy of the fenway track summing up the wild ride that is her fame/success/life over the past two years since OB. then, RBFY comes along as a sweet little interlude before the title track, which is at the heart of the album. the rest of the songs focus more on the simple joys of love and married life - not to say they're boring or all just cute ballads, but that the overall lyrical theme and sentiment is more "the right person will stay and im happy and this love is my peace within the chaos of everything". just my lil dream and my way of figuring out how a track as stripped back and simple as Henry could be on the same album as that crazy dramatic fenway opener
  18. this actually made me feel sooo much better and you're totally right! of course i hope for the sake of everyone else going that it's amazing and mind blowing, but i've been so fortunate to see her twice over the past two years that it's not gonna kill me to miss out this time. thank you sweetie! soooo true!! i could probs pay off the remainder of my credit card w the money i'd save tbh
  19. i do partly wonder if its a callback to album titles from back in the '50s and '60s, some of which were often just named seemingly at random after a track on the album or that had a slightly verbose, confessional vibe. it reminds me a little of aretha franklin's album "I Never Loved A Man The Way I Love You" - brilliant album, one of the best of all time, but god, i always hated that title! it feels so at odds with how i view the album itself, given that this album gave us her version of Respect, one of the biggest empowerment songs of all time! i totally agree that lana knows how to do an intriguing, captivating and iconic title, so it's strange to see her stick with this one. even "DYKTTATUOB", for all of its messy long-windedness, has that enticing and mysterious element. "Lover Stay", like you suggested, sounds gorgeous, and its just abstract enough to raise some questions and intrigue - is it a plea for her lover to stay? is she suggesting that her lover has finally decided to stay? is 'lover stay' almost like another word for a honeymoon or a couple's retreat? i like that so much more!
  20. its giving james bond intro mixed w some motown vibes like yesssss inject ittttttt
  21. just edited my reply for ya the hopeful part is totally true, which makes me think we could get some really sweet love songs in line with what she said before about focusing on like nice melodies and stuff this go around as opposed to anything too heavy or personal! hoping for RBFY on this record, i think it would fit sooooo well
  22. the song she opened with at Fenway! with the "past present future i see in you" refrain edit: this one!
  23. can someone pls console me and tell me that it's okay for me not to go to this i am so broke and as much as i would love love love to see her in liverpool (my family are scouse!) im not sure i can justify furthering my debt to see her in the cheapest seats i can find in a stadium where im gonna be a million miles back from the stage and i already had the joy of seeing her three times already (including as recently as this year!) so maybe it's just not necessary this go around. i guess if the album comes out and i love it so much that i'd do anything just to hear a couple songs from it live i can always try to save up for resale tickets closer to the time!
